This place is so clean I have never gone into a KFC Taco Bell out here and everyone and everything is dressed decently, ladies are dressed for work and not to party, young men pants pulled up, under the counter is shining clean and stacked neatly. I didn't see the rest room but the front of the house spoke for itself. The manager is a very nice young man you can tell he runs a tight shift he greets you with a smile. “Tacos were awesome. I tried Steak, Chicken and Al Pastor. All of them were great. Just to know what to expect: I waited almost 30 mins for the tacos, the place is pretty small and if too many people get in there it’s super crowded. Prices are decent.

We decided to leave and offered to pay for the beverages and chips but they would not let us pay . Punkys Tacos is an absolute vibe and the food is fire. 🔥 We are already planning what we are getting next time Our server Julie was great with suggestions of favorites especially since it was our first time. Queso dip and Chips - the addition of chorizo was a nice twist that jazzed this classic up Cheetodilla - I cant even put into words this quesadilla with a hot cheeto twist. My daughter ❤️ loved it Fish tacos - perfectly crunchy Mahi with Pink corn shells .. Pink !!!!! The atmosphere of the place was enjoyable with music 🎶 and table settings that gave it a homey feel. We met the owner Vanessa and she was lovey, explaining their food style (Mexico City…our favorite) and that everything is fresh (which was obvious from the taste). “The concept of the place is great. The food was 10/10 everything we ordered was delicious. We tried the corn, the octopus, and the tacos, and honestly everything was amazing. I also ordered a gin and cucumber cocktail which was really good.

We decided to go because I saw an Instagram ad saying there was live jazz on Thursdays from 7–11 pm. We made our reservation for 7:30 pm, finished dinner, and the jazz still hadn’t started. It actually began almost an hour later, so I mention it for those planning to go mainly for the show.

That said, the band was definitely worth the wait — they were excellent. By the way, the band is called Tamboka. You can find them on Instagram and Spotify. It would also be great if they had business cards or something to promote themselves because they deserve the exposure.

Our server was lovely, Briana, very attentive even though it was clear she was quite busy.

“Labamba is one of our absolute favorite restaurants. When in Fort Lauderdale. My wife and myself have been going to the Bamba locations for over 30 years. We have never had a bad meal. Every meal is consistently terrific. Although this is our first time at this location. The food was amazing and the bartender was amazing. Try the mezcal old-fashioned. It is terrific.“

“We went early for NYE, before all the action. We started with the queso & chorizo. It was so good and the chips were fresh made. We also had the flight of margaritas. A great way to try multiple flavors! The coconut one was a surprising favorite. My husband had steak fajitas. He really enjoyed them and the aroma was amazing! I tried a bite and the steak was so tender. I had the shrimp tacos. They weren't as impressive, more of an appetizer, not an entree. We also had the churros. They weren't quite done so not impressive either. We'll definitely want go back to try more items on the menu though because all of it was flavorful. Our server was perfect, she didn't rush us but checked on us often, even as the restaurant began to get busy.“
