“Best cake ever! They made a cake for my husband’s big round number birthday and it was stunning :-) he is a sport fisherman, and they actually reproduce his boat to a T! The texture and taste of this chocolate cake surpassed even the beauty of the outside! Run don’t walk to this bakery they don’t exist in this area:)“

“Ton of fun. Live music. Local artists. Great food. Some complain that you have to pay to park but this is a big undertaking and it is a fundraiser for the area so deal with it. Shuttle buses were constant and even if you walked it was not a big deal. Food and drinks were not cheap but what is these days? It was quality LOCAL food! Tons of activities for kids as well. This years festival was our first and we are already looking forward to 2024! Got a couple of great pieces for our house from local artists. Great festival.“

“I was looking for a place where I could step back in time and enjoy a little peace and privacy, and this donut shop was exactly that. The old building and simple setup gave it such a nostalgic feel. I grabbed a seat at the bar, enjoyed the best apple fritter and a croissant breakfast sandwich with a smooth cup of coffee, and even ended up chatting with a sweet senior couple. It was such a relaxing, genuine experience. I’ll definitely be back.“

“I've been addicted to pork ribs, especially St. Louis ribs, since I lived and worked in the St. Louis area in 1966-1968. So wherever we are, wherever we travel, I always look for a good barbecue restaurant. Ribs are ribs, whether they come from St. Louis or Memphis or Austin or Kansas City or Charleston. So you can imagine my feelings when we discovered Perry's Roadside BBQ in Sarasota, Florida. Located at 936 42nd Street, on Route 41, north of Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Perry's offers a rack of ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked chicken and pulled chicken with a sweet, tangy sauce. Also baked beans, potato salad, corn bread, coleslaw and sweet potato pie. Open from 11 to 6 Thursday, Friday and Saturday only, Perry's offers a pleasant change of pace from the usual seafood fare. After considerable sampling, my wife and I finally decided that the best option for Perry's three-meat family meal that serves four to six but satisfies the two of us to a tee. It includes one rack or St. Louis ribs, four pieces of chicken, one pound of beef brisket, coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad. You'd be surprised how often there isn't anything left. Then, again, maybe you wouldn't be surprised.“

Auch der Service war aufmerksam und herzlich – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Geschäft selbst ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, mit einer warmen Atmosphäre, in der man gerne verweilt. “I highly recommend them. They made my wedding cake, cookies and cupcakes-and My best friend’s birthday cake during our stay on the island. They were absolutely amazing!! The customer service was amazing planning a wedding 1300 miles away! The display of the wedding cake was beyond amazing. They paid attention to every detail I wanted and was looking for in doing my beach wedding theme.. great job hometown sweets and I definitely be visiting more when I visit the island“
