“Food was good. The Mac and cheese was goey and very cheesy with a lot of flavor behind it. The collard greens was EXCELLENT, had myself coming back to it after every other spoonful or everything else. The flavor of the brisket was good, the bbq and the bbq mustard sauce gave it even more flair, it was just a little dense. The rice…..I can’t even say anything but good things. Haitians always make the best rice and that STILL stands. The cornbread was good and felt a little “cakeish” which is ALWAYS appreciated in my household, my mom enjoyed it. Definitely pass by if you get a chance; I’m going back for chicken next time.“

“Food is always on point. I’ve been trying this place since they first started. I would get the fried rice and an elote. Their mangu is always so delicious with a fried egg, fried cheese, and Dominican salami. If you want the BEST Dominican food in South Florida, this is your spot.“

“If you don’t know, now you know… The Caribe Vegan is BACK! Available to dine in (with real plates and silverware) in a beautiful garden setting at the Zen Mind Space in Wilton Manors (with a private parking lot) or for pick up at same location or order on Uber Eats or Grub Hub for delivery. First up thing I tried was one of the three Sushis rolls on the menu called, URSULA MOVED TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, it consisted of Vegan shrimp (made from heart of palm), sweet plantain, tofu cream cheese, cucumber, carrot \\u0026 crispy onions drizzled with her secret island sauce. The fusion style sushi roll, was full of flavor, and had a good texture through out, was definitely one of my favorite things I tried, and I would definitely get it again and highly recommend it when you order from her, but it definitely left me curious to try some of her other fusion style rolls, I could actually imagine just ordering all 3 rolls and calling it a night. The next dish was a caribe classic, a CRABCAKE (made with heart of palm) served over Dominican-style mashed plantain with garlic \\u0026 vegan butter and Crabcake, smothered in a house made cheesy garlic sauce \\u0026 pickled cabbage, do I have to say more? Just out of the world taste and flavor explosion, just like at the picture below, it was insane and so big. The final plate was a bowl for the soul, THE DOMINI SOULFOOD PLATE, that consisted of Latin style fried chkn (made from mushrooms and jackfruit), mac \\u0026 cheese, candied yams mixed with sweet plantain. The Chick’n was crunchy, and fried just right, she topped it with her special sauce, that really gives new meaning to special! I hope she starts selling It by the bottle, because it’s so good! The mac \\u0026 cheese was creamy and had a very good consistency. It was all complimented so well with candied yams and plantains that were the perfect sweet to go with the spice, an all around can’t miss plate, highly recommended. If you have ate at the Caribe Vegan in the past, you already know the amount of love she puts into each dish, and if you have never got to try her before, here’s your chance. Her new location is a beautiful event space, yoga studio and offers therapeutic massage as well (check for class times and appointment), it has lots of parking and a great zen garden to chill and enjoy your food, I definitely suggest stopping in, saying hi, and enjoying the food (it’s ok to bring a few canned beverages, if that’s your vibe). “In 2024, I participated in the Key2MIA tour, which took place around Juneteenth. One of the stops on the tour was “Meat the Veggies,” where I had the chance to try their food for the first time. I was blown away by their impressive presentation, beautifully set-up tent, and food truck. I was genuinely excited to try whatever they were offering, and thank goodness I did—it was absolutely delicious! Their mango chipotle sauce quickly became my favorite, and I even tagged and persistently reached out to them for months just to get more of it. I also tried their pulled oxtail meat, which was a solid 10/10. It’s a must-try, and I highly recommend it. I truly love this brand!“

“This pizza spot was a great experience. The crust had that perfect wood-fired texture—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The toppings were fresh and really flavorful. One pizza had chicken with a pesto-style sauce and melted cheese that tasted amazing together. Another one had prosciutto, arugula, figs, and a balsamic glaze that added a sweet and savory balance.

“This small Haitian spot is takeout-only. All orders take about 25-30 minutes, which is good because you know it’s freshly prepared, but consider calling in advance if you don’t want to wait. While there’s no ambience, there’s chairs to wait in, and the staff is friendly and helped me pick out a variety to try. The spicing and preparation were good, but a bit salty for my (non-Haitian) palette. Overall I’d love to come back to try the rest of the menu when I’m back in the area.
