“I like this place a lot. The food is served impeccably. Large menu of authentic Turkish food. Reasonable prices and the most important very nice owners (Tuba’s brother). The tea they serve is black tea from Sri Lanka (it has some bergamot hint ). Its a true killer. I highly recommend them.“

“Fantastic dinner at Abbale Aventura. Every plate was on point, but the tahini soft serve deserves its own paragraph - an amazing creation. Thank you, Samuel, for that ice cream. Huge thanks to our server Kfir, who took care of us all night. We'll be back.“

“We had the most amazing meal there. The staff were attentive and knew the menu - gave us suggestions of what to order . The bar tender made a wonderful sangria which to me was a plus. The food was prepared to perfection and beautifully plated. I would highly recommend this great find!“

“I recently stopped by Olivio Mediterranean Cuisine at 7815 W Sunrise Blvd in Plantation, and honestly, this place left a much bigger impression on me than I expected.
Right from the beginning, the experience felt personal. We were attended by the owner himself, and he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Great character, genuinely welcoming, and you could tell he really cares about what he’s putting on the table. He took the time to explain the dishes, the sauces, and even some of the methods and ideas behind how everything was prepared. I really appreciated that. You can tell there’s a lot of patience and thought going into the flavors.
We started with the falafel, lentil soup, pita bread, calamari, salad, and mint lemonade.
That mint lemonade was spectacular. The mint and lemon worked together perfectly. It was refreshing, bright, and lemony enough to have that punch without one flavor overpowering the other. Everything was in harmony.
The falafel was also very well done and crispy on the outside while staying soft and flavorful inside.
Then came the calamari, and this was one of the biggest surprises for me. The calamari itself was great, but that green sauce that came with it? Absolutely incredible. It had just a hint of spice, and the flavors paired with the calamari so well that it almost gave me that feeling of eating something fresh from the sea with its perfect accompanying sauce. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be that good.
The lentil soup was comforting and well made. It had that homemade quality to it — the kind of food that makes you feel like you’re sitting at someone’s home. If you’re a big fan of lentil soup, you’d probably be all over this.
The salad was a nice, refreshing addition to the beginning of the meal as well.
Then the main courses came out: the beef shawarma and the Jerusalem mixed platter.
Oof!
The beef shawarma was amazing. What I really appreciated was how something seemingly simple was executed with a lot of thought. The shawarma was flavorful, the texture was right, and the sauce that accompanied it brought everything together.
And the Jerusalem mixed platter was just as impressive. The rice, salad, and combination of meats all worked together beautifully. It was the kind of meal where every component had its place.
What stood out to me most about Olivio wasn’t just the food. It was the feeling behind it.
Trying food from another culture can feel like you’re getting a little window into someone else’s home, traditions, and way of life. That’s honestly what this experience felt like to me. I come from a pretty standard background when it comes to food and haven’t always had the opportunity to explore a lot of different flavors and cuisines.
Olivio gave me that adventure!
You can taste the thought, patience, and passion that goes into the food, and having the owner personally walk us through the dishes made the experience even better.
5/5 from me!
Olivio feels like an up and coming spot that deserves some love. If you’re someone who wants to step outside your usual food choices, explore Mediterranean flavors, and experience something made with genuine care, I highly recommend giving this place a visit.
Much love to the owner and the kitchen. Keep doing what you’re doing.“

“This was our first time eating at a Spanish restaurant. Strictly went there for the paella, which was quite good. We did have two appetizers, one being the white anchovies, and the second one was artichokes and ham. Both were very delicious. Would definitely go back again.“

“Authentic Israeli style shawarma is one of the hardest things to find in this country. They absolutely nail it at Friendship Grill. The food can cure antisemitism. Seriously, it is made with love and delicious beyond words. Make sure to ask for the amba sauce. It is a sweet, slightly spicy sauce made from fermented mango and several spices. You will not regret it. To be honest, it is expensive. One shawarma pita with no sides is $36. But you are right in the middle of Las Olas, and it is getting harder and harder for restaurants to survive on what people think prices should be. So do not fault them for that. Your money is also going to a genuinely good cause. Look up Chabad. Their charity is legendary worldwide, and the restaurant is directly affiliated with them. Also, Spencer did a great job taking my order today. If you want something truly unique that you cannot get just anywhere, while also supporting Israel and treating yourself to an incredible meal, go to Friendship Grill. Just do not come Friday evening.“

“Little hidden place in Plantation, located on Pine Island Road in a small shopping plaza. Izgara is a Middle Eastern restaurant, with delicious food! The Hummus , is the best I have ever had! It's creamy, buttery with a little tangy kick! I had the Skewered Steak Platter with salad, fresh cut sweet potato fries ( that I kept dipping into my hummus) 😋 check this place out! P.S. they also have vegetarian options“
“I’ve been coming to Ethos Greek Bistro since their grand opening, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots in Fort Lauderdale. The food is always served to perfection fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent every single time. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate that comes out. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. From the bussers and kitchen staff to the servers and management, everyone treats you like family. Walking into Ethos never feels like going to a restaurant —it feels like walking into your second home. If you're looking for authentic Greek food, great service, and a warm atmosphere, Ethos is a must visit. Fort Lauderdale is lucky to have a place like this.“

“This is the vibe! Been to place several times and each time has been great. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice .. like a swanky beach Tulum vibe. Also, they are super nice and accommodating. Last time we rolled in with a very large group and we had to leave in 1.5hrs. The manager there was able to accommodate us and we were happily fed and out with time to spare. Definitely a must try spot.“

“The owner is a real jerk, vaping as he prepares the food. I supposedly went in to train as a cashier, only to get overwhelmed by duties as the cashier, taking orders on the phone, packing take-outs, handling Door Dash, Uber Eats, Grub Hub, serving all the tables as a waitress for the whole place, cleaning them all up as a busperson, and bringing patio furniture outside. Good thing I didn't work at night or I'd have the added duties of also mopping the floors, cleaning the bathrooms as a janitor, and bringing in all the patio furniture. The owner calls it multi-tasking. I call it too cheap to hire more employees. It is insane to ask for so much from one person! As it is, he only pays minimum wage and all the credit card tips are kept by the owner himself! From here I have learned that I'll be leaving cash tips for wait staff in the future, since greedy owners like this feel they are entitled to keep all credit card tips. The place is a disgrace.“

“Sotogrande is a quiet respite with a coastal nod to yachting culture at Pier Sixty Six. The menu is appropriate for a warm weather climate with highlights like the Greek Village or watermelon salads, the skewers (chicken and Kofte) were divine. This spot is perfect if you want to dine al fresco and look out into the marina and million dollar yachts or inside with a chill vibe and live music. Reservations are probably recommended for peak dining times although I went earlier than that and walk-ins were accommodated.“
