I have a dairy allergy, and I was so excited to come back every year to have an amazingly beautiful, yummy dairy-free milkshake with my family and not feel left out. I recommended The Yard in all my dairy-free sites I follow. Sadly, when we came tonight, we found out dairy-free items are no longer offered, so I just watched my family eat theirs.
It’s been 2 years since we had visited The Yard in Destin. Last time we were here the place was amazing. This time it was an awful experience. Employees were extremely rude and wouldn’t even say two words to you. We had a descent sized group and a few of the employees just kept looking at us and giving bad looks. The ice cream was good, customer service was terrible.
if you want to get a cone and a scoop or two you can, but this isn't really the place for that. The milkshakes are much more than milkshakes, they are creations. Some complain that they cost too much, they should just go somewhere else. I thought it was worth it. It's like buying a car. Can a car really be worth $100,000? To the person who's going to buy it can.
