The Flyin' Bulldog on Highland Avenue is exactly the kind of chef-owned, laid-back neighborhood joint that makes downtown Dunedin great. It’s an ideal spot to pull up to after a long Saturday morning hauling trash off the Causeway. Grabbing a table on their spacious outdoor patio with Mary, Maya, and Mia to throw back an ice-cold beer on tap is about as good as a Florida afternoon gets.

The Flyin' Bulldog on Highland Avenue is a chef-owned, laid-back neighborhood joint in downtown Dunedin. It is an ideal spot to pull up to after a long Saturday morning, with a spacious outdoor patio that is great for hanging out. The place is super dog friendly, and it is cute to see all the dogs and take a pic in front of the dog mural. The food completely backs up the vibe. The Philly cheesesteak is top-tier, loaded with high-quality shaved ribeye and melted cheese on fresh bread. The real heavy hitter is a sandwich called The Bear, a massive, dripping, perfectly seasoned roast beef build. The roast beef sandwich is absolutely drool-worthy, piled high and wonderfully messy. The smashington is one of the best smashburgers, and the Smashburger and fries are also loved. The spicy crunch chicken wings are the best wings. Breakfast offers a delicious breakfast sandwich and iced coffee that uses coffee ice cubes. The beer selection is excellent, with ice-cold beer on tap. The counter service is friendly, and there is great music and entertainment. Everyone kind of just vibes together over good food. It is a great addition to Dunedin.
