“The Gator Lounge sits as an enticing refuge from the challenges of daily life at Camp Rudder. One is left to wonder if they’ll ever get to enter and consume any of her goods. She teases passersby as they see a beer sign and think this means that perhaps this time, maybe they’ll be successful in the pursuit of a slight amount of pleasure. Alas, most who set their sights on the Gator will not delight in her goodness. Ironically, the less time one spends here, the better off they are doing. Potential customers are lured by the siren song that sings false hope of “maybe they’ll open the Gator for us.” Oh, dear children, do not dare put your hope in those who hold the keys to the Gator. This is not for you. But for those who do enter and hand over exorbitant amounts of treasure for wild piles of food, you will find delights eternal.

“Hands down has to be one of the top 5 dining facilities in the entire Air Force. The staff is great, the food options are great. They have everything from a salad to mid to higher end foods. They keep it clean and organized. Everything about it is great for lunch.”

“Caribou Coffee was surprisingly good. I ordered an Iced White Chocolate Raspberry Mocha and it was the perfect blend of sweet and savory, the coffee flavor came through nicely without being overpowering. The staff were friendly as well and the prices weren’t terrible (for an airport). Nice find in the Destin Airport (VPS).”

“Amid extraordinary challenges of supply shortages at this store today, the cashier - Spencer - and Manager - Ms Audri - came through with exceptional service! She apologized for the lack of spicy chicken available and informed me of the possible imminent delivery time but with no promises. She took my name and phone number and said I would receive a call if and when it arrived and was cooked. That was over the top in my view for Customer Service!! I spent time in the BX and returned in 30 min. or so and the cashier called out my name, letting me know my order was ready; hot and Spicy!! Well Done guys!! Keep up the good work! BTW, the food was GREAT!”

“This is a convenience store, souvenir shop, take-and-go food place combined in one. I didn't take a full picture for people's privacy. Along with the Dunkin' and Doolittles Cantina, there's no eat-in place in concourse C unlike Emerald restaurant in Concourse A if that's your thing. This place does sell cans of beer, soda, chips, etc in the store.”

“We had such a fun time at Fudpucker’s! My son absolutely loved the gator interactions—it was definitely the highlight of our visit. Everything was exciting and super engaging for kids. The food was great too—everything we ordered was delicious and made the whole experience even better. Emily, the photographer, was amazing! She was so kind, knew exactly what she was doing, and worked quickly while still capturing great moments. We really appreciated how smooth and easy she made everything. Overall, such a memorable and family-friendly place. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Don’t let the plain exterior fool you, this place is dope. Julianne greeted us with a smile and was an excellent host/server. They have Gluten free garlic cheesy bread as well as gluten free pizza crust that is fantastic. Had a couple of the specialty pizzas and am in heaven. Run, don’t walk to Merlins!”

“After hearing so many great things about this place, I finally made it out here to try it for myself. The atmosphere was beautiful and elegant. Brandon our server was amazing. The way Brandon described the specials and the menu items, he made it sound like it was going to be the best meal of my life. The food was spectacular so HUGE kudos to the chef. You are doing everything perfect. Atmosphere is 10 out of 10, service is a 100 out of 10 and the food was a 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back and thank you for the amazing dining experience.”

“What do I recommend? Anything!! Everything!! We had the fried grouper dinner with coleslaw and fries. The grouper was so fresh and juicy. And flaky!!! The coleslaw tasted like my mom’s! 🥰 and the hush puppies were pure perfection. We had planned to visit a place over in Destin but the prices were ridiculous!! $42 for six jumbo shrimp?! C’mon!! I honestly wasn’t expecting the quality of food for the price I paid! Great food. Great prices! I only dealt with T who took my order and was so courteous and Joey who I just had to tell about our wonderful experience. I told her we would be back before we leave and I’ve already planned my Sunday dinner! This was the Stewby’s on Racetrack Drive in Fort Walton. Highly recommend it!”

“I think this was the best ice cream I've ever had. I sampled 2 and ordered 2 scoops of brown butter bourbon truffle ($8.08). Only a few inside tables but plenty for an evening in December. I noticed the candy/fudge options bur didn't purchase on this trip. 10/10 recommend!”

“I'm a transplant from New England and whenever I see Maine lobster on the menu I'm skeptical. I always ask if it was previously frozen before ordering it. The waitress wasn't sure so she said she would check and came back and said it was fresh. I can tell you without a doubt it was not fresh and definitely had the tough, overcooked taste of previously frozen lobster.

Other than that, the food was great, the services was fantastic and the view was amazing. Just be honest about your frozen lobster next time. 🤷🏻‍♀”

“Bar none, the best coffee house experience I’ve ever had. Fantastic vibes (playing vinyl records instead of AI slop in 2026!?). Great libations (free sparkling water in this economy!?). And every drink, from a simple flat white, to the complex fancy brews is exceptional enough to write home.
