“Been here many times and usually order the Sashimi deluxe. I added an order of sashimi scallops tonight and thought it was the worst $7.95 spent. First the menu says you get 2 pieces, when I reality it is one piece cut in halves, plus I’m not even sure that was real scallop. The texture and taste were just not there.Overall I like the place but I don’t like to get tricked in something that’s not what I ordered. My Sashimi deluxe was great! Service was fine!“
“I love taking the kids here and getting a snack from sharks while we enjoy the beautiful beach.Very clean, fast, and great venue! Can't wait to get back ?Parking: Lots of space to park.Kid-friendliness: Kids love the atmosphere and beach.“
“Service and food were !! We can only speak to the sushi but it was wonderful. Their rolls are refreshing and unique and we can't wait to go back to try more! We split the boat for two and it was more than enough sushi and sashimi for three people.“
“I'm leaving five stars because negative reviews are often irrelevant and hurt the reputation of a business unfairly. This evening I called ahead to inquire about outdoor seating with a dog. The employee put me on hold to find out and informed me outside was dog friendly. When we arrived the hostest informed me they don't serve outside.I won't beat this business up with a bad review. I can try their food if I don't have my dog with me. I'm not sure I will.“
“Outstanding. Truly. Tiny intimate place, the parking lot has 8 parking spaces so be prepared. This place that is the best Thai food I've ever had in my life. We are world travelers and enjoy Thai food in many places but this was amazing. We ordered the tuna tower, edamame and fried calamari tentacles for appetizer. Edamame was very fresh, not oily or over salty. Tuna tower was good, I'm not sure if there was enough of the tower quantity to "share" per say. Fried calamari was exceptional, tender octopus and perfectly crunchy fried, not too sharp. The fried rice was well seasoned, with plenty of vegetables that were cooked perfectly. Nothing was soggy or over cooked. I ordered the ted curry fried tofu and was asked what level of spicy 1-5 I would like. I ordered the 3 and it was spicy enough for a few water refills. But the white it came with was cooked in coconut milk I believe so the sweetness balanced out the dish. The the tofu is more rectangular and thinner than chunky so the sear on the outside was well done. It never got soggy inside of the curry. It was creamy and spicy and delicious. Each vegetable addition to the tofu dish had its own flavors as well. There's not a thing I would have changed about this experience. Very beautiful and comfortable setting. We had our two children under 5 years old and it was great. Perfect for a date night or family dinner out. Kudos to Baiyoke!“
“Great food and the best I have found in Florida, which doesn't say much because I'm from Chicago and they don't have good Asian food in Florida, that I have found, so far. Service a bit slow all the time but not too bad. Atmosphere is plain but clean. I would highly recommend this place. I don't eat sushi but people I know love the sushi here. The hot food is great, and it's nice to have a variety to satisfy all. Note that they are not open on Tuesdays and only sell beer and wine.“
“Since I started working right down the street, I have been wanting to give this place a try. Being that Venice historically has been more retirees, I was not expecting great sushi but from other reviews felt that it would be at least okay.First, the food was surprisingly good if a bit small on the portions. I had a bento box lunch, which traditionally includes a california roll (albeit on a smaller scale), shumai or dumpling and possibly a small salad and/or soup in addition to the main protein selected. Unfortunately, the Venetian Bento box was simply 8 pieces of spicy tuna and 3 chef's choice nigiri (in this case salmon, tuna and escolar). Nothing else.I also ordered an order of Ikura (Salmon Roe) which was again on the smallish side but the quality was good, although it did not have the pronounced salty taste I expect. So somewhat disappointing, but still good. What really turned me off, and will give me pause about returning was the lady who took my order. Not terribly friendly, but not rude either... until, I asked for low-sodium soy sauce instead of regular. The soy sauce comes in small container with a lid so they just pour it up in the restaurant... it is not prepacked in any way. When I made this seemingly small request, I saw her roll her eyes and act like I had asked for some huge favor. This after I had left a $5 tip on a $20 ticket. So, if you are looking for decent sushi on Venice Island I would say the food is good and the prices were not terrible. Just be prepared for less than outstanding customer service.“
“Ended up here completely by chance. We were planning on somewhere nearby but the wait was too long. Walked in about 7pm and were immediately seated. Server was busy and a bit distracted, but got it done eventually. After watching other servers, I think ours may have been new. We had the 18 piece sushi/sashimi dish and a couple of appetizers and all were very tasty. They had freshly made wasabi (not the paste) and oh wow! The serving platters were fun, but as the ice sculptures melted, they ran over and made a mess. Didnt like that much. Overall very happy and with a few tune ups could be 5 star. We'll absolutely be back.“
“We enjoyed a wonderful meal and experience at Magnolias last night with friends visiting from Texas! Everyone did a wonderful job from the fellas who valeted our car to the receptionist, and the bartenders and an extra special shout-out to our server, Tyra! And the food was fabulous—the best Sea bass we have ever tasted!“
