About Whitey's Fish Camp

Whitey's Fish Camp offers a unique atmosphere with a lot to see, including live bands. The place has a large inside and outside area, with a big dock for boats. It also features an RV park, boat ramp, and tackle shop, making it a popular spot for visitors. The food and atmosphere are generally great, and the friendly servers contribute to a good dining experience. The restaurant is known for its excellent food, such as the best potato skins in Florida. The fried shrimp dinner with fries and hush puppies were great, though the hush puppies were a bit too salty. The red beans and rice with sausage were perfectly spiced and loved. The catfish, for which they are known, was amazing, as was the burger. The Clam Chowder was SO GOOD. The Country Boil and the New Orleans Shrimp platter were plentiful and very good. The shrimp was very tasty and the red beans and rice went with it so well. The sausage from the Country Boil was delicious. While busy, seating was available inside and out, with televisions on showing different sports, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. The server was prompt and attentive.

Under new ownership, please get this fixed!

We have had our OPHS Class of 66 luncheons here for the last few years. They never disappoint! Great food , service and always accommodating! Up to 70 have attended, the staff is great!

We went to a large group dinner with around 65 people this past weekend. I hadn't been to Whitey's in a few years, because we are seafood snobs, but after the great food and service we had, I will definitely give them another try. Kirra and Angela were amazing! We moved tables and didn't realize no one had told them. They found us and were super kind and polite. Our drinks were never empty even though the restaurant was insanely busy, and the check was ready as soon as we were...read full review
