“La Ola Surfside Bell Tower Shops 3-29-25 Stopped by on around 11:15a on a Saturday. We were the first people in to sit at a table. This place was clean, neatly organized and gave us a beachy vibe with all the Reggae music playing throughout. Janet our waitress came over fast and took our drink orders. Once our drinks were delivered, she took our food orders. I ordered the Fish & Chips which came with Fried Fish, Fries & Coleslaw. My wife ordered the Lobster Roll which came with Lobster on a Toasted Bun with Lettice and for her side she got the Coleslaw. Our orders came out in reasonable time and all our food looked amazing. My Fish was light and not heavy on the breading just how I like it. I loved the fish and Tartar Sauce that came with it. The Fries were very good and even the Coleslaw was good as it had some Pineapple in it. My wife loved her Lobster Roll and Coleslaw. She is from Maine and stated it was one of the best Lobster Rolls she had in this area so far. All our food was hot and plenty of it. Janet kept on top of things checking on us a bunch of times. We will return here or stop by Ft. Myers Beach location as to try them all. Everyone needs to stop by and give this place a try you will not be sorry. “We went through the drive thru for a quick lunch. The line was a little slow moving, but not too bad. We ordered beef taco supremes, a side of nacho cheese, a Baja blast and a medium Pepsi. The drive thru staff was okay. Our food tasted good. I had to take off a star for the high prices though. I know that the restaurant owners probably have no choice, with overhead expenses being what they are… but when I go to a place like Taco Bell I’m looking for value, and the prices are just a little too high across the board. Still, not a bad visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.“

“Just had the chicken tinga street tacos at Malinche’s. Again! I dream about them!! Also can recommend the Cadillac top shelf margarita—your choice of top shelf tequila (went for Patron Reposado tonight). Yummy and not too sweet. Servers are the best—Kenia, Lori, and Jesus are the ones I’ve interacted with so far. Arturo (one of the family owners) is a delightful host. Ask him about his homeland and how the restaurant got its name. Count me a new regular! Gracias!“

“We had a wonderful lunch experience. This is our first time back with the new owners. The place is so clean and does not smell like it did prior. New, comfortable seating has brought new life to this restaurant. Our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive. The place was crowded for late lunch (a good sign). Margaritas were good. The lunch menu has some favorites like the burro burrito and the prices are more affordable. We loved Tequilas and we will be back.“

“Excellent. It’s a taco shop but so good. The tortillas are fresh made, the veggies crisp and delicious. Pork al Pastor with nice pineapple. The Menudo was the star of the shop. The spicy long simmered broth was filled to the brim with meat and menudo. It was perfect to sooth the soul. . Very authentic with families dining together.
Vegetarian options: There is really only one vegetarian option, a huarache. It did not disappoint, the avocado was sweet and the tomatoes well flavored. The texture of the thick corncake more like an arepa or a pupusa was luxurious and well seasoned. There different salsa do add spice. No vegan option and it’s not really vegetarian friendly spot. But the food so delicious it was worth it.“

“Oh my goodness. What a gem tucked away in San carlos! Sopas were the greatest thing we ordered. The guacamole was fresh and chunky! The burrito was huge! My tosadas were soggy by the time I got home but that didn't deter from how amazing they were. I can't wait to go back!
