“My husband I have dined in and ordered takeout from Dos Sabores several times. I love the veggie burrito and my husband loves their beef and chicken tacos. The last few times I ordered takeout, I noticed the total price was higher than it should be. I asked about it today, and the server who took my order said it was because of the added tip. I didn't realize this restaurant automatically adds a tip to their bill, but at 18%, the order should be perfect. The last few times I ordered takeout from there, I didn't get guacamole or sour cream with my burrito (which it states on the menu that they both come with it). I think there should be a disclaimer on their website/menu that they add a tip. But truthfully, I think it's a bad business practice to automatically add gratuity to the bill (especially for takeout). We have both worked in the restaurant industry in various positions, and more recently, we were owners of a bar/restaurant. I understand that to-go orders are sometimes a nuisance, but this might turn customers away. Gratuity should be based on service, and to demand a tip on takeout is just wrong.“

“I have been coming to this restaurant for 9 years and it never disappoints. The chicken tacos are absolutely amazing and the guacamole dip is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Everything always tastes so fresh and authentic. You can truly tell they care about the quality of their food and service.

Another thing I really appreciate is how clean the restaurant always is, especially the bathrooms. It’s rare to find a place that stays this consistent for so many years. This has become one of my favorite comfort spots and I’ll never stop coming back. Highly recommend!“

“We had heard good things about this hidden gem. Use your GPS. It did not disappoint. Randy was our server. We were greeted promptly with delicious chips and 2 types of salsas. Honestly my favorite one is the steak and chorizo every bite is very flavorful and you can tell they use fresh ingredients, the elote in a cup is also fantastic very delicious. They are are good with timing they don’t rush the food so it comes out hot and looks great, Helena was very helpful and kind since I don’t speak Spanish fluently she was patient and helped me with my Spanish.“

“Great Mexican Food, Fun Decor
We have been to the Cape Coral location a few times and thought we’d give this Fort Myers location a visit. Glad we did. If they had any outside seating, we didn’t see it. No matter as it was too warm to have enjoyed sitting outside anyway. We were seated promptly in a very colorful dining room. The jungle theme of the ceiling, the colorful lights and décor all make for a fun setting. Our drink orders were taken right away with complimentary chips and salsas delivered quickly. The chips are thin house fried tortillas, cut in half, lightly salted and still warm. A plate of 4 different salsas/dips accompanied the chips. The menu explained what each one was. Fountain soda was $3.95 and tap beer was $7.50 for a 22 ounce Modelo Negra. The menu has everything you could want at a Mexican eatery. My wife had the Juan’s Combo Dinner -3 ($22.00). She selected a Steak Taco, a Chicken Enchilada and a Beef Tamale. The steak on the taco had a great seasoning with nice tender steak chunks instead of the usual diced meat. She ordered the Mexican toppings which had cilantro and onions. The alternative is American style with lettuce and cheese. The enchilada was ordered with a white cheese sauce (choose from 4 or 6 different sauces). It tasted great, lots of chicken and cheese. She ordered a red sauce on her tamale and that too was excellent. Her side dish of Beans and Rice was pretty standard. I had some dental work done recently so I need to eat softer food. I ordered the Pozole soup ($13.00) which is shredded pork and hominy based in what they called a spicy broth. I didn’t find the broth to be spicy at all so I added some of the sauces they bring to the table to zip it up. (Nice carrier of 6 or 8 sauces with a few real zippy ones.) The soup is served with traditional cold items that can be added to the soup to taste. I added them all – slivered radishes, diced onion, sliced avocado, lettuce and lime. Outstanding soup! I loved it. I brought home enough to have for lunch the next day. So now let’s make the night out even better. Not sure if it’s every Wednesday, but this particular night was 30% off the entire bill if you paid in cash. Done deal. Cash money = big savings! Go there, eat well, maybe save some bucks.“

“This past Saturday, we went to an amazing bar in Downtown Fort Myers called Escondito. It’s this private, hidden bar tucked away behind freezer doors in the back of a little hole‑in‑the‑wall taco shop called Taco Works. You absolutely do not expect to find a fancy bar behind a taco place, but that surprise is part of the fun. We loved it. Jordan is our favorite bartender — he makes every drink with perfection. The whole staff is so nice and professional, the drinks are delicious, and for a short moment you really do feel like you’re part of an elite secret club. Leaving the bar, my husband wanted to try the tacos. Our plan was to order one each, but Joe who took our order had other plans. He was incredibly nice and oddly hilarious. Somehow our order went from two tacos to tacos, burritos, and nachos. While waiting, we talked with Joe about living here for two months and the places we were thinking of trying next. In the funniest way, with a completely serious tone, he shut down every idea we had and offered “better” locations. He suggested a BBQ spot and an Italian/sushi place he’s never been to personally but swears by. We were laughing the whole time, when our food was ready, we met “the Two Roberts,” the man who handed us our order was so sweet with the sweetest smile, you just wanted to give him a hug, They were working hard but still made time sure the customers were treated with politeness and a smile and everything they made was phenomenal the tacos, nachos, and burritos were all amazing, on the way home, my husband suddenly burst out laughing. Something Joe said earlier went over our heads at the time, and it hit him out of nowhere. Later that night, we looked up the BBQ place Joe recommended, and the BBQ place he told us "we had to try" is actually inside another Taco Works. That had us Howling. Almost two days later while I’m exhausted and trying to sleep, I hear my husband getting off the phone laughing again to the point I had to check and turns out the Italian/sushi place Joe “swears by” is also part of Taco Works. Now I’m wide awake laughing too. Since I cant sleep might as well tell our story. Joe absolutely got us, and he deserves this review. Thank you, Taco Works — we will be back!“

Food truck atmosphere so not a lot of seating or parking. The cooks are busy ladies, overall I enjoyed the food! Definitely my go to when I dont have time to cook.“

“We had a great meal and experience and Monarca’s. The food was very delicious and a very good serving size. They served us our drinks very fast - Mexican Coke available! Sebastian was very kind and thoughtful. He offered us the spicy salsa and the chipotle sauce - both with great flavor. Beef barbacoa was very tender and tasty. Hopefully we can go back again soon. Tip was accurate on our bill and they deserve it.“

“Oh my goodness. What a gem tucked away in San carlos! Sopas were the greatest thing we ordered. The guacamole was fresh and chunky! The burrito was huge! My tosadas were soggy by the time I got home but that didn't deter from how amazing they were. I can't wait to go back!
