Great food and service! Servings were hearty and the food was fresh and delicious.
My wife and I came in after working out. My wife ordered the classic breakfast, and I built my own omelet. The food was delicious, and our waitress, Melissa, was awesome. She was very helpful with the menu and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be back!
This place is fantastic! What a fun menu. I had grits with sausage gravy and freshly made biscuit. I need to try the fried green tomatoes.
Service was excellent! I learned about Ella Mae Piper, the restaurant’s namesake, who contributed to the history of Fort Myers.
Also, this place is really clean. Condiments were full and spotless and bathrooms were sparkling.

Ella Mae's Diner in Fort Myers offers superb quality food at reasonable prices. The staff is attentive, kind, and even accommodating to furry friends with water bowls for dogs. The beautiful water view from the outside seating adds to the dining experience. The food is wonderful, fun, and seasoned, with amazing biscuits and Grandma's grits. Everything tastes fresh and made with care. The gravy is made from drippings and the decor is classy and nostalgic. The team is friendly and efficient, with servers who know the menu and make great suggestions. The diner's historical theme and clean setting make it a nice spot for a meal, despite the slightly higher prices.
