La Kasita offers tasty local food, including dishes like bistec encebollado and pork chops, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere with bachata music. The owner is very friendly and personally serves the diners, creating a homely environment. The staff, including helpful waitresses, provide good service. Customers praise the flavorful dishes that remind them of NYC Dominican restaurants, with some noting the delicious pepper steak and the hearty sancocho filled with chicken, pork, yuca, and plantains. The prices are affordable, with each plate costing less than $20. The restaurant feels like home, and visitors often plan to return, especially for events like Friday karaoke night. Be prepared for home-style cooking with hand-cut ingredients and small bones in the meat, making the experience authentic and satisfying.
