“If I could give them 10 stars I would! My son loves Marcos so Saturday night 10 mins before closing I saw they were open & gave them a call for cheesy bread. I fully expected & would have understand if they couldn't because it was closing time. Not only did they make the absolute banging cheesy bread the young man at the counter was so kind. Give that kid a raise!! Off this experience I would recommend 10/10. Thanks guys!“

“JL’s has been a staple to my Navy family since the early seventies. We moved from Guantánamo Bay Cuba to Jacksonville.. Dad 95 years old and I had another great dinner! Liz, took care of us tonight, she went over and beyond the call of duty! I told her I wanted to get a new t-shirt when we finished dinner. We place our order and next thing I know she brings out several T-shirts for me to choose from! That’s, that extra little touch that goes a long way!“

“As always, their food, vibe, professionalism, and service were top notch. Our first night out in a while, and as usual, JCF exceeded in delivering an amazing atmosphere. The cooks, servers, and staff were, as always, quick, thorough, and the food was delish. Ibelieve I've had nearly everything on their menu now and it never is less than excellent! Quite likely our top 3-5 favorite nationwide! Easily could be number 1 with great competition. If you want amazing local food, this place is the spot. Thanks as always, y'all!“

“We had a group of about 25 people o. Saturday, and the food and service were both top notch. Wiam and Raed jumped in with their crew, and took such good care of our huge group. The food was amazing, and most of us had never been there before, but all said we would be back. We can't thank them enough for hosting us!“

“Came here with a party of 7 plus a baby as I did not know how small it was. They accomdated us and didn't bat an eye and making sure we were all comfortable and they could access where they needed to serve tables behind us. (I had a reservation and they were expecting us however there was a mix up on how many people) I brought my parents here who don't ever eat this kind of food. They asked a lot of questions and were in my opinion annoying. The staff must be used to this as again no irritation and were helpful and able to accommodate requests.
Edamame was great. I cannot stand bland edamame with no seasoning. This is seasoned, not spicy but there is flavor.
Katsu chicken curry. Chicken cooked perfectly not soggy and a nice crispy texture. Curry could've been spicier.
Curry ramen. Comes with 3 pieces of the beef brisket. (I ordered extra and added 2 more slices to mine) Had to add in quite a bit of chili sauce to get the spice up to my level of preference but with some doctoring it was perfect. (Probably about 6 scoops) Amazing ramen and the beef was so tender you could pull apart with the spoon. Zero complaints everything was cooked perfectly.
Coffee fluffy pancake. I've never had fluffy pancakes before so I wasn't sure what I was expecting. But these are fluffy and thick. I was thinking they would be more batter-y or softer. Good but wouldn't order again. Little bland on the flavor.
For the amount of food everything is priced very reasonably. Total spent on 7 people was $200. Wait time was not bad either. I will mention they were out of several things and they only do the build your own bowl on weekdays which was a bummer. Definitely recommend and that you overlook the abandoned shopping plaza this place lives in and go check it out. Just understand that there are only about 10 or 12 tables.“

“I’m from out of town and stay in the Baymeadows area for 2 extended periods during the calendar year. Metro Diner Southside has been my go-to breakfast stop for the past 6 years. The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend! Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with. Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!“

“Great bbq quick when we needed food to go after moving all day. Good portions, all the meats (pork, brisket and turkey) were very good. Sides bbq beans, slaw, green beans and okra were tasty. Come by and try 4 Rivers. The picture is from their website.“

“I was walking into hair salon, (around1130am) when i noticed a very young man get out of a grey nissian, he had a CiCi uniforn on, and bottle water in hand. There was trash on ground in front of store. He stopped, picked it up, walked it to trash can and proceeded into restaurant. You don't see this now a days with these younger generations or older folks. Your facility should be proud and thankful to have such a hard working young man, kid who goes way above and beyond. Too think he did this and hadn't even started his shift yet. (From what i gathered, looked like parent dropping him off) This boy should be noticed.“

Each time my husband and I go, we are never disappointed!
The staff is amazing! They each are on top of their game and seldom is there ever a long wait to be greeted, seated, or served. If there happens to be a wait, they are spot on as far as the wait time, too!
The presentation of food is always beautiful… even if ‘just a sandwich!’ The condiments always seem to be full. Straws are already on the tables! Drinks are filled super quickly!
The restaurant is always clean… both inside and outside seating. The bathrooms have always been clean when needed!
The decor is cute — as one may assume— beach themed!
I sincerely have NOTHING remotely negative to say about this restaurant! They are all truly amazing here! I need to go try the two other locations!“

“I’ve walked past this business but never stopped in. But now, I’m so very glad I did. The NY pizza is exactly how I had it in New York. Ordered the thin crust slices but had no idea how big it was. I had more than enough to enjoy. The service was top-notch! Not only from the server but also from the Manager. My compliments to all the staff for making the experience magical! Absolutely ♥️♥️♥️ the ambiance - reminded me of Woodstock, NY.
All and all, I give Moon Dog Pie an A++++“
