“Where to start? This was by far some of the BEST food my family and I have eaten. The meats were all tender and flavorful, the ribs literally fell off the bone. I got the white meat chicken and it was tender, flavorful and wasn’t dried out. The sides were just as flavorful! Everything that was cooked tasted like it was cooked with love! We would love to see them come to Northwest Florida in the Pace or Pensacola area! ❤️“
“O!M!G!!!!! I am SO glad we found this place! We were in town for the drag race, but there was a rain delay....Jimmy was our server. He was EXCELLENT!! He gave recommendations and even brought a sample of the Brunswick stew for me. (WHICH WAS FANTASTIC!!) The sweet tea is REAL sweet tea, not the watered-down version you mostly get down here. I haven't found Brunswick stew down here, and when I saw it on the menu, I had to have it! It was SO GOOD!!! The cornbread....is TOO good. My husband got the 3 item combo. The brisket was amazing! The pulled pork....SO GOOD!! And the chicken...good grief. We left the restaurant SO full that we almost had to take a NAP before we went back! ?? I'm telling you, THIS place is an ABSOLUTE MUST TRY if you're in the area!!!“

“We couldn't decide what we wanted so we got the Adam's sampler. Pulled pork, brisket, 1/2 a chicken, 6 ribs (BIG ribs), collards, fries, Mac and cheese, plus garlic bread. For $47.00 it was a huge amount of food. The chicken was my favorite part. It is really easy when smoking chicken to end up with dry meat. This bird was juicy and delicious. The collards needed a little bit of the vinegar pepper sauce to punch them up a bit, but overall everything was excellent.“
“I was going to Sonny's BBQ today for ribs & that is what I ordered !!! They were were Awesome & tasted Sooooo Good !!! I had been wanting to eat them & their Baked beans too !!! Alot of times when I go I will get the Brisket ... Oh My Gosh ... If You haven't tried it do so because you are missing out !!! They have ALOT OF FOOD that is good !!! I Highly Recommend You Go There & You Will Not Be Disappointed !!!Parking: Plenty of parking & another lot for parking because they get busy !!!Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicap parking, also the walkways are made wide enough for wheelchairs or walker's. “My wife and I booked David's to cater our 80-guest wedding and could not have been happier with our experience! Bobby is an experienced professional and he and his team provide everything you'd want from a caterer and more.Bobby's team handled our buffet dinner, hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour, table linens, centerpieces, flatware, signage, and our audio guestbook (made to look like an old rotary-dial phone). His team put significant work into setup and tear-down, passed the hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, and staffed the bar all night. They were all so nice and such a huge help - service was smooth and no guest had to wait long for drinks, dinner, or anything else.The food was delicious and varied (way more options than the BBQ you may be familiar with from the restaurant). In addition to loving the food ourselves, we received many compliments from our guests about the quality and taste of everything served. We ate leftovers for weeks after the wedding and never grew tired of them.Our tables and signage all looked beautiful. Bobby makes custom signs and maintains a surprisingly large stock of decorations and linens. We were literally able to pick from a showroom and try different centerpiece layouts until we found what we went with.I already mentioned that the team was great, but Bobby himself is a machine. I don't think we ever waited a whole day to hear back from him, and it was not uncommon to receive a reply within minutes of sending an e-mail. We were not always sure what we wanted or needed during the planning process and Bobby always had recommendations backed up by his years of experience ready any time we asked. My favorite part of working with him were the little touches we never even thought of. For example, the moment we walked out from the ceremony we were greeted by one of his team who introduced herself as our "personal caterer" to ensure we had anything we wanted from cocktail hour as we hurried through photos!Truly a great experience and value for everything Bobby was able to make happen for us. “Being that it was my first time eating from David's BBQ, the food was great!! The only thing was that the rib pieces were really huge. When I eat ribs I like smaller pieces that I can chew. Other than that the experience was amazing and the young lady at counter was amazing as well. Her smile would make anyone's day. Definitely will be going back.“
“We stopped in for dinner after a day at the NHRA track. We were so impressed with the management and servers. Crazy busy, but everyone was so polite . The staff hustled, and the managers were chipping in! The sign of a well run business. The food? Excellent. We had the sirloin w/asparagus and salmon w/Brussel sprouts.“

“We ordered catering today and the order got missed, we called 20 minutes after we were supposed to receive it and corporate customer service got right to contacting the store, they started it right away and had it delivered to us within 30 minutes of the call, Michelle delivered our food and they threw in extra sides, desert, and tea to make amends. Michelle was absolutely lovely and a joy to interact with, absolutely will use them again, the food was amazing and the customer service was phenomenal!“

“The food was so good, and I don't even like barbecue. We had been seeing them on the corner of 13th street for ages before finally succumbing to the delicious, tantalizing smells. We had the ribs with original barbecue and two sides (rice and macncheese), a chicken sandwich with jerk sauce, and a Pineapple Lemonade. Again, coming from someone that doesn't like barbecue typically because of the smoked aspect, they are doing something damn right with the way they smoke their meats. The meat is still tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Pineapple Lemonade tastes like pineapple upside down cake in liquid form - it's gold, but if you're looking for something more tart and lemony, it probably wouldn't be your style because it's SWEET. Tangy, but very, very sweet. The only setbacks were the fact that I could've used a little bit more seasoning on the rice and macncheese - the meat had flavor, but the sides seemed to lack a little. However I will say that the sides had the best textures I have ever had for macncheese and rice. Along with that, I wish we saw some different bread, like maybe some Texas style toast for the chicken sandwich. Regardless, this was an absolutely A+ meal and we look forward to trying more menu items and frequenting their truck!“
