“Good sauce makes good pie. Their sauce is very good. Order takeout pies "topless", no top on the box. Makes for a much crispier crust, just like what you get when dining in-house.”
“Great place! Very very clean, and they were cleaning when I left. Who cleans anymore? Usually these fast food places are filthy. But this one was very nice and it was a great sandwich too! I'll be back!Kid-friendliness: Be sure to leave those kids at home where they belong. If you insist on feeding the kids make it a takeout order as no one wants to see your little Messiahs running around and pissing on everyone.”
“My favorite BK .... always makes nice fresh coffee the food is made how you like it and friendly staff ... always very accommodating.Parking: A lot of parking is easy in and out. This is a newly built BK. They have 2 drive-through options. Always very clean and plenty of staff working. It's a busy place, but that just proves that this is the BK to go to.”
“Great, popular seafood restaurant located in a strip mall. Parking is no problem. Usually a wait but tables turn quickly and hostesses are attentive, sometimes coming around with free snacks and they will take your drink order while you wait for a table. On the night we were there, they had fresh crayfish and pink shrimp on the specials menu, we ordered both and we were glad we did.”
“We attended Kelly’s Half Shell Pub on Sunday March 3rd 2024, the 4 of us had Guinness one of us was just introduced to it and love it. The pint were excellent! We had clams, Shepard pie, fish and chips along with lobster poutine, all served piping hot and delicious no complaints at all. The portions were big and left us full. We did split a key lime pie and it was also amazing. The best part of our night was our server Erica. H, she was on point all night checking in with us and quick wit and banter to boot! I will have to say in all my dinning experiences she rates number 1 in service and talent. Kelly’s is very lucky to have her around their tables. I hope she got her Strawberry cream donut! Thanks for a great evening.Dietary restrictions: Very diligent on making us feel comfortable with a guest with allergies.”
“We found this place online and were very happy we stopped for ice cream! They have a bunch of different flavors, and the scoop sizes are generous! The environment is fun and colorful, with music and art. It's a great place for kids. For adults who are interested, they even have "adult flavors." We got to talk to the owner, and he works hard to provide wonderful service to everyone who comes in. All the ice cream is made in store fresh, and it is evident because the ice cream is delicious. The prices are very good as well. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great treat.”
“TLDR is GET ICE CREAM HERE! You can probably tell by my waist size that I’ve eaten more ice cream than I care to admit but Guyer’s has to be among the best! It’s SUPER thick, creamy, flavorful, sweet… just amazing! I don’t know what kind of alchemy or magic they’re using but it even seems to melt slower than normal ice cream. My first trip I got 1 scoop of Blueberry Cheesecake and 1 Strawberry (fruit right… I can at least pretend that it’s healthier than chocolate)! My 2nd trip (yes it was like 18 hours later… don’t judge me;) I got 1 scoop of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup (PB = protein so healthy) and 1 Manatee Kisses… all incredible! I haven’t had their donuts yet but I hear they’re equally amazing! They also have dairy free and no sugar added options and snow cones! There are only a few tables inside but it’s Florida so there’s plenty of seating out on their elevated deck! Not the cheapest but worth every penny and calorie! Definitely a DO NOT MISS!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free and No Sugar Added availableParking: Easy parking across the street”
“The Biscuit Barn is my favorite place to go for breakfast. Their omelettes are amazing, and the biscuits are huge and the best ever. My friend had a burger and she said it was delicious. Service is fast and friendly.”
“We found this gem while exploring the 1920s buildings and history in downtown Crystal River Florida. Located in a red brick building that was once a doctor’s office, there’s inside coziness with tables and a bar plus an outside back seating area with a waterfall. Catherine our server and Jeff the owner were warm and friendly. She mobilized the staff and a customer to sing Happy Birthday to my husband.”
“It was okay here, but also quite chaotic. Not clear for a first timer what to do, which line etc. Not great if by self as can’t have someone grab a table whilst you wait and can tell them when order where you sitting. Food was fine and a good price I suppose but a long wait. All things considered probably wouldn’t bother unless already in area. It was authentic, very popular, good portions for price so giving it a good review for that - 3.5 stars.”
“I come in for breakfast before my early day begins. Their breakfast croissants are amazing, and definitely not the tiny junk that you purchase at the gas stations. Their Cuban sandwich is also the best around! Come give them a try.”
“Excellent food and service in an interesting and historic venue. Fresh fish, nicely prepared, delicious steak and a competent wine list. Definitely a must if you are looking for a great dinner!”
“This is a wonderful brunch spot. The staff, especially our server Mel, were welcoming and friendly. The owner was so personable and interactive. The food was absolutely amazing.”
“This is an awesome seafood restaurant that is right on the water. Great views from anywhere in the restaurant. The grouper was incredible. The grilled shrimp was so tasty! I would recommend this place to everyone. Our waitress, Kelsey was awesome!”
“We came into the Tavern for the first time today and was totally in love with the atmosphere. Food was great, drinks were great and staff was amazing. I had a house margarita with black salt which was so cool, I can’t wait to come back and try ”
“The steamed shrimp was bathed in a garlic-butter sauce and was outstanding in flavor! The mahi mahi fish taco was topped with mango chunks and cheese creating a nice contrasting flavor. The seating is rustic adding to a great meal experience. Overall, we all agreed that the Wild Sassa food was a great find and the dishes cooked are out of this world. We give them 3 Michelin stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️”
“I wish I could give the food 10 stars!! I had the shrimp tacos and the shrimp were so fresh I’m surprised they did wiggle off the plate.Even better were the fried plantains— omg, served with a nice, slightly spicy sauce. Incredible. The atmosphere is perfect, like being in Puerto Rico, you can def lose yourself here.At another table they were exclaiming over the homemade ice cream, but I was too full. There must have been 15 or more shrimp on my tacos. Please excuse the picture of the plantains, as you can see, they disappeared. I don’t know what happened.”
“I'm from New York and whenever I come to Crystal River to visit family, I make at least one stop at cattle dog! It's great coffee with fun seasonal drinks, I've never had the same drink twice. Just got a fluffy bunny: toasted marshmallow and caramel. If you don't like the sweet stuff that's fine because again, it's great coffee and they have so many blends. If you enjoy it as much as I do, they have so many kinds of beans in bags to go. They'll grind the beans for you and everything.Food rocks too! The rotation of pastries has a mix of simple and funky options. Lots of yummy sandwiches. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a croissant today, which is cheaper than the one I got at Dunkin yesterday and like 10x better. The people are consistently lovely too, great service every time I've visited. And with my visits being spread out over the last 3 years, I think that says something about management. If you're visiting CR, make a stop at cattle dog and support these lovely people! Perfect place for a quick brunch before an adventure or to grab drinks to go and walk around town.”
“Always get amazing food and great portion sizes every time I eat here. The servers are super friendly and attentive.Parking: Lots of spots to parkKid-friendliness: It's a great place to bring your family”
“Just a great little ole place in Crystal River to grab yourself a hearty delicious breakfast!"Not Grannie" at the high top was an absolute blast to talk to and had a wonderful personality! She really made the breakfast experience memorable.”
“Fantastically fresh, affordable, and homemade food. Charming owner/chef and staff. Great small town atmosphere. Delightful drive getting there. Like stepping back in time to the authentic Old Florida.Vegetarian options: Salads, sides, accommodating chef.Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Very family / kid friendly.”
“I have lived in Citrus County for most of my life, yet I have never been here. I was definitely missing out on something great! The experience was incredible and the service was top-notch. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel at home. I can't wait to try other things on the menu, as I heard that the dinner is amazing. Our next visit is definitely going to be for dinner! Thank you so much for providing us with such a great experience. I'll definitely recommend this place to everyone I know!”
“We stopped by for lunch today and since the weather was bad the parking lot was empty. We weren't sure if the place was open, so my wife went in to ask. The male waiter made a sparky comment to her because there were 2 people sitting at a table eating. Luckily, she didn't tell me when she came back out or we would have left. By luckily, I mean that the food was great. There were 3 of us, and we had the grouper sandwich, shrimp basket and a shrimp poorboy. The onion rings might have been the best we've ever had, and the remainder of the food wasn't far behind. Excuse me for not knowing the name of the waiter who was rude to my wife, but he waited on us and and did a good job. We are looking forward to coming back and I hope he reads this and thinks before making rude comments to a potential customer again.”
“If you haven't eaten here you're missing out. this location is THE BEST & Daniel is the most amazing, attentive & awesome server. Food is top notch here but Daniel makes you wanna come back !!”
“This place really made you feel like you were at home! The service was amazing and everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was great, our table had a little bit of everything - hummus, shrimp and grits, grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup, salads, peanut butter pie. It was nothing but SPECTACULAR! I would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxed lunch or dinner that does not disappoint. The other good part is the food is made there and healthy options, so you don't leave feeling bad about what you ate.I'm glad Citrus County has a place like this!”
“Service was great. Bathrooms were clean. $32 for a Biscuit Sandwich w Bacon and cold Meatloaf on Toast (2 fountain drinks) was a little high imo. Left still hungry and lighter in the pockets.”
“Beautiful fresh seafood in a fun, old Florida fishhouse setting. The staff were courteous and very helpful. We enjoyed blackened shrimp, onion rings, and fried clam strips finishing off lunch with homemade Key Lime Pie. DEFINITELY DELICIOUS!! Thank you, Dan's Clam Stand.”
“i wanted to give a big thank u to our server MEL!!! she made my girlfriends birthday dinner so much fun. she was super welcoming and both of us are bartenders so we know great service when we see it. just wanted to give her a huge thank u!!!! couldn’t of gone better. the food the was excellent and OMG UR MAC N CHEESE IS TO DIE FOR! thank u mel for everything. hope to come back and see her again!”
“We stopped here after visiting Homosassa Springs. Are we glad we did! Terrific food, and great service. Apparently they’ve been here for 20 years and that’s the mark of a really good restaurant.”
“Cook shed appeared very clean. Cashier/server friendly and polite. We both had the chopped pork sandwich which was quiet god. Cowboy beans were excellant as were the collared greens. Open air dining on a bench added to the adventure. Would do it again.”
