This charming doughnut and ice cream shop is not only spotlessly clean but also boasts some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. The owners themselves greeted us warmly, ensuring that everything was perfect, and even offered us a delightful sample! The apple pie sundae we tried was out of this world. The combination of fresh doughnuts and the creamiest, most delicious ice cream left us speechless. Normally, I'm not a fan of scooped ice cream, but this was softer and more flavorful than any soft serve I've had. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Guyer's Doughnuts. “The oxtails were absolutely incredible, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, the rice paired perfectly with the rich gravy, and even the vegetables were well seasoned. The Wild Berry Pomegranate Punch was the perfect refreshing addition to the meal.(and I don’t even like pomegranate) Everything tasted homemade and made with care. Portions were generous, the food was fresh, and every bite was delicious. A special note: my grandmother owned restaurants her entire life before she passed away, and she was incredibly particular about good food. She used to send me every week to pick up Southern Palate’s meatloaf because it was one of her absolute favorites. That alone says a lot about the quality and consistency of the food here. Definitely one of the best soul food meals I’ve had in a long time. I’ll absolutely be ordering again! ❤️🍽️🥘🥰”
