“If you offer a military discount you should make sure the servers are aware of it. Being told I'll give your drink free seems ridiculous. The food is great but this service is offered/promoted but nobody but the manager is aware of it. Seems like a service not offered.“

“I've eaten here a couple times. Both times were good. The second time the Mexican Esquite was cold, it was unfortunate. However, the service is always pleasant and the decor is pretty cool. I recommend the shrimp taco, any of them because they're all good.“

“Salsas Cocina 5559 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32940 5 Star (Chain restaurant review) This is a local chain with 12 locations throughout the Sunshine State. I like the use of this space. It is maximized for use but still looks new, even though the restaurant is a few years old. Francisco is our waiter, but he disappeared. Thankfully, Giselle took over and she is a pro. I asked Giselle for one order of Mexican Mole (Chicken) and an order of their Ceviche (against my editor's better judgment). Like eating Oysters in a buffet, he learned a long time ago never to order it. When the dish consists of seafood and citrus, beware, as the citrus is often used to mask overly ripe proteins of the seven seas. About 15 minutes after Giselle placed my order, Francisco reappeared. Strangely, Giselle told me the tips were not pooled and refused a tip. One of my new favorite Mexican dishes is Chicken Mole. This dish was outstanding. The chicken was tender and succulent, cooked to perfection. The Mole was firm, supple, and undulated across my tongue like many Colubrids. The complexity of the sauce is to be admired. Moving on, it was time to sample their Ceviche. Looking at the pictures, one can see how fresh it appeared. Trust me. It was. The chef's presentation of the avocado on top was so artful and ithyphallic that it became the talk of the table, adding a touch of humor and sophistication to the meal. The seafood was exceedingly fresh and melted on the palate. In a word: Delicioso! Take that, Mr. Editor-In-Chief! Unbelievably, Francisco returned and asked if I was ready for the check (I had already taken care of it with Giselle). The Big Boy says, “Mexican food is like Francisco and Giselle. It is hit or miss. This was definitely a hit (despite my short interactions with Senor Perderse).”“

“The Habanero Grill 1851 Palm Bay Rd NE Suite 2, Palm Bay, FL 32905 4.5 Stars The one thing you rarely see in a "Mexican" restaurant in the good old US of A is a personage from Mexico. According to a Pew Research Study, most of you, except for college or military service, would find this extremely surprising, as 57% of us have never left our home state. However, those who travel know this is because your local "Mexican" restaurant is Tex-Mex at best and so far from a real representation of the gastronomical delights originating in Mexico as to be unrecognizable as such. Not so for The Habanero Grill. This place was packed with people from Mexico. Having never experienced this, my guest and I paused upon entering. Maria, the worldly-wise owner, greeted us and immediately put us at ease with her understanding of the English language. My dining partner spoke Spanish, which was a plus but not a requirement by a long shot. When in doubt, nod, smile, and point! Having only read about the Mexican delicacy of an authentic Mole sauce, I ordered the Mole chicken along with some Carne asada and Huevos chorizo. With our order in, we sat back, took in a friendly, rousing atmosphere, snapped a few pictures, and thought of setting up a game of bumblepuppy on a napkin to pass the time when our food arrived. Just take a peek at those pictures, people! The plates are loaded with scrumptious-looking grub if there ever was any. If it tasted half as good as it looked and smelled, this would be one hell of a bang for your buck. First up on my ever-critical palate was the dish I had never tried, the Chicken Mole. Generally speaking, a mole sauce will contain fruits, nuts, chili peppers, and spices like black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, and even dark chocolate. I also heard that in some parts of Mexico, it is made with fresh chicken blood from that night's dinner, but this is unverified. The classic mole is known as mole poblano and is dark red or brown and served over meat. Based on the color, this was the variety I was served. The plate consisted of a leg/thigh piece slathered in the mole. The chicken was cooked to a perfect doneness, and my first foray into mole was a foodie's delight! What a sauce! The complexity yet melding of the spice combination set my taste buds to dancing. As hard as it was to stop eating this otherworldly sauce, I had a job to perform. Moving on to the Carne Asada. This dish was spot on. The meat may have been just a tad overdone, the reason for the 1/2 star loss on the rating, but the flavors were outstanding, and I had a severe fiesta going on in my mouth while still having one more dish to sample! The last dish to grace my palate today was the Huevos chorizo. I absolutely love a good chorizo. Combine that with perfectly cooked eggs, some rice and beans, and I am there. The chorizo was magnificent, just superbly seasoned. I don't know where they get it, but I will ask next time. The eggs were perfect, and the sides were excellent. I would gladly eat here once a week. The Big Boy says, "Winner, winner, mole dinner!"“

“The gentleman that assisted us was excellent, he really knows how to put love into everything he does, and definitely works hard to provide a top notch experience for patrons! He definitely put heart and soul into the chicken quesadillas and chicken torta my partner and I had this afternoon. We were amazed and taken aback by how absolutely stellar and delicious the food was. Flavorful, fresh ingredients, and just an all around amazing experience. This place does not get enough love for its food and its service to the food industry. I will definitely stop by more often and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic quesadillas, cow tongue, carne asada, and Torta! You will not be disappointed!“

“I go to moe monday like once or twice a month and it's really hit or miss. Sometimes the bowl has very little protein, sometimes the bowl is completely full with good portions of everything, sometimes there's mostly lettuce and rice, really depends on the day it seems. Burritos are always great imo“

“I went there tonight and I was very happy with the food. I got the tacos with ground beef, rice, red onions, Chipotle crema sauce, hot salsa, and cheese. Just a heads up the hot salsa is not actually that spicy but it is obviously spicier than the mild salsa. For dessert we got the boardwalk cookies, which are just deep fried Oreos and those were also excellent. Overall, this was very good food and I highly recommend.“

“This place is really good, my girlfriend and I split a pineapple el pastor and it was seriously good. We can’t wait to come back and try more they also serve breakfast and a drive through. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed. The weather was also nice and we sat outside no awning if it rains or if the sun is too intense.“

“Amazing Insane Chicken Burrito with Avocado! ?
The Insane Chicken Burrito with avocado was absolutely fantastic! The fresh veggies, paired with their incredible in-house salsa, made for an unforgettable flavor combination.
Despite a line out the door, we received our burrito surprisingly quickly. It was so generous that we decided to split it, but we loved it so much that we returned the next day for another one.
It’s probably the most affordable spot for fresh veggies and quality protein beachside in this area. Highly recommend!
Dietary restrictions: Manager is vegan ? the veggies are so fresh!
Kid-friendliness: Create your own burrito for each kid and not break the bank! ?“

“They have fabulous hard working full of smiles staff! The chip’s aren’t worth the calories. They are my least favorite and you have to spend $ on the salsa/guacamole to hide the chip taste.
However, tacos/burritos and salad fill you up with yummy meals!
Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat carbs…found yummy bowl that met requirements.“

“Tijuana Flats, 10 E. New Haven Avenue, Suite 103, Melbourne, Florida 32901 4-Stars (Chain Restaurant Rating) Amazingly, prior to this review I had never patronized a Tijuana Flats, although I have been seeing them around Central Florida for the past 20 or 30 years and would sometimes have vague malnoia that I might be missing out on something good. Tijuana Flats falls into an interesting category of not fast food and not sit down. In 1995, Brian Wheeler—at the time, just a taco-loving college student—borrowed some money from his dad to open the first Tijuana Flats in Winter Park, Florida. It has since grown to 123 locations in four states, three of them in the Melbourne area. In addition to their quick casual food, they have a large assortment of fun hot sauces of varying intensities you can sample at the hot sauce bar. Find one you can’t live without? You can purchase one or more bottles to bring home some heat and spice up your life. Jovi is our food facilitator, and she is wonderfully charming and helpful. If you are tired of burgers and want some exciting great tasting food, I’d advise you to try the following: Garlic Lime Shrimp Bowl with well-seasoned sauteed shrimp, cilantro lime rice (cooked correctly), black beans, poblano peppers and onions, corn salsa, garlic lime sauce, guac, queso fresco, cilantro cabbage and pickled red onions. A truly delightful offering. Cheesy Steak Flautas, two lightly fried tortillas with marinated steak, fajita pepper and onions, garlic lime sauce and cheese. Served with queso, pico, guac, sour cream, and jalapeños. A dish that was prepared quickly and tasted great. The Big Boy says, “Craving fast Mexican? Forget Taco Bell, run to Tijuana!”“

“That is honestly the best taco I've ever had from a Taco Bell. The meat was hot, the cheese and lettuce were cold, the tortilla wasn't soggy.
Seriously, I was having a bad day and these tacos right about fixed it.
My only complaint: the inside of the store is absolutely freezing. Bring a jacket or take it to go.
But it was clean, quiet, the lady at the counter was so nice.“
