The restaurant chain was founded in 1994 by two former firefighter brothers in Jacksonville, Florida, Firehouse Subs is known for great food and for giving back to first responders through its Public Safety Foundation. They have about 1300 locations worldwide. This location lives up to that reputation with friendly service, quality ingredients, and a great sandwich. I ordered a large firehouse hero sandwich. The sandwich was made as I watched. It was delicious, filled with meat, and packed with flavor. They offer a variety of other options, including salads and kid-friendly meals. The store was clean and well-organized, and the staff was attentive and quick. There's plenty of free, ample parking right in front, which makes it convenient even during busy lunch hours. The firehouse-themed décor, complete with firefighter memorabilia, gives the space a very nice welcoming feel. “Terra Craft Sandwiches 231 W. Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne, FL 32901 5 Stars Terra Craft Sandwiches is a relatively new fast-casual sandwich shop in Melbourne. The counter help today was Andrea. Andrea was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the menu. I put in an order for a Brisket, a Ribeye and one Chicken Salad sandwich. Taking in the environs, I snapped a few pictures and before too long, our order was up. Heading back to a table, I took some pics and commenced dining. One bite into the Brisket sandwich and I knew that apparently someone finally got the HINT! The Brisket was slow-cooked to a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The bread was freshly made, thickly sliced, warm, and tasty. However, the stars of this show were the root beer sage BBQ sauce and house-made pickles. That's right. They make their own pickles in the back! Forcing myself to move on, I grabbed the Ribeye sandwich and stuffed it in my pie hole. Made of shaved ribeye, white cheddar, braised scallions, chimichurri aioli, refried bean fondue (I didn't even know there was such a thing) and shoestring taters, this was to die for. I had to double-check on my phone to ensure I was still in Brevard County. Yep. I was. Unbelievable. Reaching for the last sammich to be tested, I ripped into the Chicken Salad sandwich like there was no tomorrow. This was certainly a Chicken Salad sandwich like I have never had before. With slow-roasted Cabernet grapes, shoestring sweet potatoes and roasted chicken breast on a flaky flatbread, this had to be the best Chicken Salad sandwich ever concocted. As I have said repeatedly, the engineers have doomed this county when it comes to good food. That said, as I was dining, in walked Glenn. I immediately pegged him as an engineer. New Balance running shoes and an overly tucked-in shirt were my first clues. All he needed was a pocket protector and a Honda Accord. Anyway, I asked him why an engineer would eat here. He replied, “Because the food is outstanding. The price is a tad high but worth it.” Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe engineers will fork out some moola for quality food. All this food is made on-site by a chef with mad skills, and boy, oh boy, does it taste like it. Hallelujah, Michelin! We finally have great food in Brevard!! The Big Boy says, “If you don't like this food, I will personally come over to your place and hammer you with a pillowcase full of pocket protectors and slide rules.”“

“Since it was past 8pm already and my family came from an event in Cocoa area, we were tired and hungry so we decided to just grab some sandwiches from one of our favourite sandwich houses, Subway.

So along the way I was ordering for take-out - our footlong sub sandwiches through my mobile app and I wanted to use the expiring coupon which is BOGO deals for 50% on footlong sub which is perfect for a family of four. However, I didn't know what went wrong because I ended up paying the regular price for the regular deals. When I know for sure, I choose that particular coupon - I don't know what seemed to be the problem with the app that time...I only realized that after reviewing the official receipt when we got home. Tired and hungry :-(

Nevertheless, we still love Subway, I just need to be extra careful in using these discounted deals and coupons.“

So, imagine my excitement when I saw that Planet Grilled Cheese replaced Subway in the food court at Melbourne Square. This franchised gem is not going to win any culinary awards, but they do quickly and competently prepare a grilled cheese. These slightly above average sandwiches might have curbed my enthusiasm, but as classic comfort food goes, these handhelds still comforted. I should point out that the cashier thought I was secretly recording her. I ask you, is there anything quite as refreshing as encountering schizophrenia in a company representative? I’m not sure what I did to make her so cagey. I tried coaxing a smile from her with no luck. But getting back to the food. I ordered the Four Cheese Melt, described as having “All-Natural Cheddar, Mozzarella, Provolone and American.” Next came the Chicken Bacon Ranch, billed as containing “American, All-Natural Cheddar & Mozzarella, Antibiotics-and-Hormones-Free Grilled Chicken, Smoked Bacon, and Creamy Ranch.” Last was the Ultimate Club, indicated to be comprised of “American, All-Natural Cheddar, Antibiotics-and-Hormones-Free Grilled Chicken, Smoked Bacon, Fresh Lettuce, Vine Ripe Tomatoes and Mayo. This might be just your simple, basic, frozen reheat chicken and bacon, but for fast food, this place is a notch above your run-of-the-mill burger joint. Nothing great, nothing bad. All sandwiches on the menu (like those made at this spot by Subway before Planet Grilled) are touted as being served on locally baked bread. The Big Boy says, “If you are hankering for a grilled cheese sammie, Planet Grilled Cheese is a solid choice. No harm, no foul. Just don’t make eye contact with Ally.”“

“1st time here but have known about it for a bit. Gabby M. Was at the front took her recommendation on the most popular scoop. The fancy nancy..... Similar to like a Waldorf salad of sorts. Came with crackers and even a cookie which I thought was some kind of weird cracker. Everything on point right down to the service and even strawberry lemonade drink. I will be back!! Thanks again . “Ordered a sub through the Jersey mikes app and it was subcontracted to DoorDash. Unfortunately, my sub never made it to me. The doordasher had an incorrect address on his end, so he delivered the sub to the wrong address. I texted asking if it was delivered (doing no-contact deliveries due to COVID-19) and he said yes. I hadn’t received it and that’s when he realized he had a different address. He drove back to the house he delivered it to, but the homeowner had already eaten it. He let me know what happened and spoke with DoorDash about it but I never heard back from him or from DoorDash about a refund or another sub. Called Jersey Mikes on Palm Bay road and had the pleasure of speaking to Megan, one of the owners. She refunded me my money, and had Douglas, after he got off work, deliver a new sub to my door with 2 cookies! Thank you so much for fixing a mistake that wasn’t made on your end! As someone who works long hours at the hospital during this crazy time, I truly appreciate you guys going above and beyond to make a customer happy!“

“I eat here frequently. Hayden is the best manager as he was quick to fix a mistake that was made. I keep forgetting to send a letter to his boss and the general manager. He has excellent costumer service and difused a situation that could have exculated when a mistake was made on the price of my order. He ensures that I receive a copy of the receipt that shows what I pay for and that his staff understands why it is important to me. I know I can be a bit of a pain about the receipt but I truly appreciate the understanding. It's a glitch with Jimmy John's practices that should be changed and not the fault of the one who rang me up that day. I just want to make that clear as I know she still works there and this isn't the only Jimmy John's that has had this issue. In any event, the staff is great.“

The sandwiches were made just as we ordered them, and the staff were pleasant and personable. It was nice to see this restaurant open so we were able to get a bite to eat as we were coming into town very late. Would gladly stop at the store again.“

“I wasn't always a fan of Subway. Recently I've been eating them do to being a diet and their bowls are great. Until my recent order tonight. I've spent a lot of money in the last few months. All my orders have been $60 tops. With two kids and spouse. Well the bowl I got had 5 pieces of meat and missing most of the toppings I requested. So I paid $13 for a few pieces of meat and some lettuce. I'm very disappointed 😞 Think I will take my business back to Jersey Mike's.“
