First time at this restaurant. Several friends raved about this place so I decided to try at lunch. Ordered the grouper sandwich. I must say I was very impressed with the quantity of grouper on the sandwich. Excellent service, place was clean and inviting. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.
Love it here, one of our favorite places for a bite. Update: came again last night and the food was really great - the blackened grouper is always done to perfection. Took about twenty minutes for the food to come out but they were pretty packed so not too bad all things considered. Love the outdoor seating area.
The blackened shrimp nachos are definitely worth a try and the seafood baskets are too. I do need to point out the booth seating can use more cushions and the AC didn’t seem to be working properly. Overall the seafood is legit!

Grouper Shack in Jacksonville Beach is a favorite spot for a bite. First-timers are impressed with the quantity of grouper on the grouper sandwich. The blackened grouper is always done to perfection, and the blackened grouper sandwich with fries and cole slaw along with a Stella is very satisfying. The blackened shrimp nachos are definitely worth a try, and the seafood baskets are too. The seafood is legit. Service is excellent, and the staff is polite and personable. The place is clean and inviting, with an outdoor seating area and an atmosphere that is great, easily conversational, and well attended. Prices are reasonable. Even management makes guests feel welcomed. One visit, when crab crackers went missing, the manager came out without asking and refunded the meal and gave free desert. The booth seating can use more cushions, and the AC didn’t seem to be working properly. The food can take about twenty minutes when packed, but that is not too bad all things considered. Highly recommended.
