“What an unexpectedly amazing experience! I went in to grab a cigar or two to enjoy while being here in Jacksonville and I am so glad that I found this place! The owners are just wonderful and Kristin (I hope I'm spelling that right) absolutely nailed the cigars for me. After helping me chose the cigars we proceeded to have a conversation and I got to learn a little bit more about them and their business. “This place is fantastic - it is small but mighty. We had a 20-25 minute wait but it was worth it and we aren’t locals but were in Middleburg visiting a family member this weekend. The food and frozen margaritas were fabulous but what really stood out was the service. I want to give a huge shout out to our server, Olivia, as she really went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. She had no clue that our cousin’s husband passed away earlier in the week and that this was the first time she has been out for a meal without him - she was very emotional and sad but she wanted a frozen margarita so when all of us family members arrived in the area- that’s what she was getting. Olivia was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of and we appreciated it tremendously. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and the portion sizes are huge - the beef tip burritos and quesadillas are delicious and we would get those again every time. Best wishes for this business and they are going to have to expand eventually with what they have to offer!“

“Amazing evening out. Everyone was so friendly as you entered the restaurant. It started with one of the best pomegranate martinis I ever had. Our server Jessica was excellent and all the servers that came to the table paid attention to detail. The most impressive part of the evening was the impeccable style of chef Justin. We had the 6 courses chef’s adventure tasting menu and I cannot say enough about the cuisine. The harmony of flavors and the mastery of technique with the plating presentation was magnificent. The chef came to the table to explain each plate that was presented. He’s very knowledgeable regarding the dishes he prepares and you could see his personality come through in the way the dishes were plated and the flavors that came through with each plate. With the cuisine Justin is preparing this restaurant could be a Michelin star restaurant in notime. By the way I am gluten free so the chef had to make changes to my dishes only. I cannot say enough on how much we enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely be visiting Matthew’s again.“

The staff at seasons 52 town center Jacksonville Florida was amazing and accepted the situation as if he was there! From the bar tender Michael who served him a drink to the receptionist who Renee who made us fell very welcome and treated our friend with respect and dignity to our waiter Blake who also went the extra mile to make our experience exceptional! “Relaxing and peaceful views here! When I come here, I only dine outside in the back facing the ocean. Personally, I enjoy coming here during the week (during the week they’re only open Wednesday through Friday 7am to 11am) because it’s typically never crowded and I enjoy the peace and tranquility that come with the amazing views and ocean breeze. The menu items are very good quality and reasonably priced. My only reason for docking a star on my review is because they’re booked quite frequently (usually majority of the restaurant is reserved), service is not the fastest (however, the managing owner Carol is kind and amiable), and on numerous occasions they don’t answer the phone so it’s difficult to plan breakfast or brunch when they don’t answer the phone and on several occasions, I’ve had to be turned away on a empty hungry stomach which isn’t a good feeling. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you have the opportunity. My personal recommendations are the mimosas (get the bottomless jug) and the blue crabomelette.“

“If only the front hostess Aisha and the manager on duty matched the rest of the staff and food, it would have been a wonderful evening. We had asked a week prior if ok for us to add a chair to our 8 person reservation for a 5 year old when the restaurant called to confirm our reservation. The request was accepted and all was thought to be good until the day prior when we called to confirm one more time and unfortunately had to speak with Aisha who was rude and acted like our request was completely inconvenient and the passed us on to the manager on duty, Jay I believe? Who managed to be even more rude and countered our request with “you better not complain about the table being too tight, that's not on us”, in which we acknowledged. Then to get to the restaurant, they in fact did not have the table set for 9 people and when brought to their attention, Aisha met us with an eye roll and attitude and the manager would not even look at us. They did add the chair...to the rectangle table that was set for 4 seats on each side...the table that typically would be set for 10 people...and the manager on duty choose to ignore our table the entire night? Even as we were only 1 of 3 tables left in the entire restaurant as we concluded dining. Miss the old Ruth's Chris days in DT Jax of Eric and Ryan and even Sammie in management. The pretentiousness of the manager fails far short of hospitality. Our waiters were great however and the food was prepared perfectly...just need to have the front of the house get it together.“
