“This is the best icecream shop in town! The owner even ordered our favorite flavor after we mentioned it, so we came back to try it! Protions are great, service is lovely, and we love supporting local businesses!“

“I’ve been looking forward to this 16 Handles opening, and overall the space has a lot going for it. There is plenty of parking (front, side, and back), a solid selection of soft-serve flavors including vegan options, a toppings bar, and the familiar pay-by-the-pound setup.

The outdoor seating area is especially nice for families, with turf and a kid-friendly layout that allows parents to relax. However, it’s fairly small and fills up quickly during busy times.

What noticeably impacted the experience was the lack of customer interaction. The owners appeared to be present but did not greet customers, explain the self-serve process, or check in at any point. While some people may be familiar with frozen yogurt shops, first-time visitors aren’t always, and basic guidance or a welcome would go a long way.

With its location, family-friendly setup, and product variety, this 16 Handles has strong potential. A more welcoming and engaged customer service approach would greatly improve the overall experience.“

“Great service. Willing to personalize a coffee or espresso drink. We ordered a hazelnut latte and a nonfat latte with cinnamon powder. Ask for a hotter beverage if you like it that way. Limited menu but plenty of variety for most; even a few muffins available for a morning bite. Also tried a strawberry banana smoothie made with almond milk; good flavor and texture.“

From the friendly waitstaff that cleans diligently especially after a mess, to the beautiful atmosphere. “We had such a wonderful experience at this ice cream shop! The owner is incredibly sweet and so helpful, which made our visit even more enjoyable. My husband and kids absolutely loved everything we tried, and you can really tell they care about their customers. They also have a great variety of chocolates, which was such a nice bonus! “These guys found (and won me over) through a strategically placed free sample cart in the parking lot at Juno Beach Park. When I tried a complimentary cup of their cherry flavored frozen confection I was transported back in time, about 50 years, to my days of youth in Brooklyn and Queens, NYC. INCREDIBLY AUTHENTIC, Sunset’s Italian ice satisfied a longing I had long ago forgot I even held! It’s been decades since enjoying the refined texture and understated sweetness of this sort of confection. Immediately following my sampling, and stay at the beach, my wife and I went across the street (US 1) and found them, immediately to the left of the Publix in that strip center. So nice to have a local piece of Italian Heaven in Palm Beach County!“
