“Just had one of my favorite meals in the Kissimmee/Disney area! This place is a MUST go to!!! My wife had the chicken stir-fry with sweet plantains which was full of flavor. I had the Picalonga Oxtail upon the recommendation of our server. It was AMAZING!! Was sad when I finished it. Would have taken a pic or two, but too busy eating!!!“
“The food was delicious ? The owner was super sweet and the workers know what they’re doing. I got rice ? beans ground meat and I couldn’t stop eating ?️ I got a huge amount for the perfect ? price. This place is a must. The earlier the better.“
“This delicious food truck takes pride in the number they hold at the food truck heaven. They are the #1 spot and they sure uphold this in their food quality, service and attention. I had the mofongo with bistec encebollado, the Dominican hoy dog and the fried red snapper. Everything was delicious, I definitely reccomend Pikalonga if you’re looking for fresh and savory Dominican food.“
“the food at Maracas was good but their service, left me very disappointed. our waitress was not attentive, she forgot to put in the order for my teenagers food. She walked by us several times, didn't even ask how we were doing or if we were missing anything. I had to notify another waiter that part of our food was missing. Then at the very end when we were checking out the waitress said that there is a mandatory minimum tip for tables of four more. which left me surprised We are a family of two adults and two children, I didn't feel that the tip that she tipped herself was equal to the lack of service that we received from her. even though we've been going there for years and the food has always been good, the lack of service takes away from the restaurant. Sad to say we won't be returning there.“
“The reasons for not giving 5 stars is because of how difficult it was to locate where the restaurant was at night. The name sign cannot be seen at night, they should put lights on it so that the name of the business can be seen. The things we ordered were super delicious, especially the baked chicken, they really are the best in Orlando for Dominican-style baked chicken. In addition to baked chicken, I also ordered a large order of pica pollo and it was tasty too. While we were waiting for the order we ordered an order of tequeños and they were tasty...The attention from the lady who attended us was very good and attentive. The prices are acceptable...The place is not very big but it is cozy and clean. The music they have is good and happy.“
“(Translated by Google) The mofongo was delicious, the fried meat lacked flavor, it had no flavor at all. I think that's the only thing they should change. the service was nice.(Original)El mofongo delicioso la carne frita le faltaba sabor no tenia nada de sabor. creo que es lo único que deberían cambiar. el servicio fue agradable.“
“So, these little hole in the places - not much to look at. But they always seem to be filled with surprises. El Rey, for instance- a serious strip mall chicken joint vibe. Not great curb appeal. But that's not why we go there, now is it?Inside, it had a real split personality. To the left is all bar and nightclub. It has a stage for live music and a bunch of seating, making it a more intimate venue (probably hosting a lot of local talent). The bar seems small but well stocked. On the right side is a buffet style Hispanic restaurant, exactly what you would expect to see in a typical Hispanic market- L shaped serving counter running the entire length of the space with a plethora options. But what's important is the food, right? So let's get to that.I was there to pick up an order for a staff meeting of about 15 people. We ordered Pollo, maduros, pernil, arrow Blanco y habichuela. The pernil (pork) was good. As was the rice (which was well seasoned, not plain white) and beans (again, well seasoned with big chunks of pumpkin). I always love the plantains! But the chicken. My lord, the chicken! This place calls itself the King of the Chickens, and it's no lie! Rotisserie style, beautifully seasoned, and just as good the next day!Seriously fantastic chicken, and with everything else, a very good lunch for all of us.Speaking of which, our total bill for the 15 of us was about $220. Not only did all of us eat our fill, but we all had enough to take home dinner!Long live the King!“
“Food was great, the sauce with the tequenos was amazing. The drinks were great, we got Tamarindo, Parcha(Passion Fruit) and Limonada. At to we had pernil with mofongo and another order of boneless chicken with cheese sauce and bacon with mofongo. The food was huge. Caught us by surprise but it was GREAT. Definitely reccomend.“
