Lake Park's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“Drinks are awesome . Food is great we order different things and we all loved it. Justin was our waiter . He is absolutely helpful with drink and food recommendations. Spicy Mango and Black Diamond are amazing. See pictures and you would see what im talking about. .“
“The food is delicious authentic. Very fresh the portion was amazing. The price was just as amazing as the food. Definitely can taste the love in the food. The drinks were delicious and big. they had like every kind of margarita you can think of. I must say this is my favorite spot.Parking: Well, we found parking immediately but as we were leaving, it got crowded and they had a long wait because the restaurant is just that amazing.“
“My family and I LOVED Rivales. It is hard to find fresh, Mexican restaurants that are not Tex-Mex, and this was the ideal place to eat. Awesome refried beans, homemade Margaritas, delicious chimichangas, and outstanding/friendly service by Brian!!! Rivales has become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Palm Beach!!!“
“This is the spot for tacos if you want good, authentic, and fair priced food. They go above and beyond every time and it's a little family owned place. Hands down absolute best tacos in West Palm Beach. My girlfriend and I come here almost every Tuesday that we can and we are regulars here. This spot has a special place in our hearts. Everything on the menu is good and portions are amazing.“
“Best Mexican food in the US that I have ever had, and I have travelled around the IS trying many different highly rated Mexican food spots, this one still tops them. Only change I would add is for them to ensure chips are always fresh. It’s a 50/50 shot on whether or not you get fresh chips. As a last critique, they should use ribbed liners for their quesadillas in their to-go containers to prevent the quesadilla from getting soggy.“
“I have been coming here for years! Maybe once a year but when they first opened I was here at least twice a week! I personally know the owners and they are the absolute sweetest! It’s nice to come and see they have hired workers that mean things are going great for them! I had no doubt they will be still standing years to come in just happy to have a place so close to home as nice as black bean! The food and pastries and aren’t anything short of amazing! (If you’re in doubt get a burrito) but I promise you won’t be disappointed! Come support black bean if you love great food!“
“My sister and I visited a few months ago and this place still has good service and really good food.Unfortunately I've acquired food allergies since our last visit. Our server was fantastic, he really worked with me to ensure I didn't eat anything that would cause me problems. Our cocktails were good, the Mac and queso were delicious and so were our main lunches (Mai wrap and chicken quesadillas). The decor is very festive, the beautiful decorated tree and bright colors, along with monkeys is cute.I have to get better at taking pictures, I was looking and chatting. If you like mexican food and you find yourself off PGA find your way to Avocado Cantina.“
“A really great place recommended by everyone who lives and visits West Palm Beach. My server, JR, was warm, welcoming, and helped me with the menu. He suggested that I choose the combo Tacos so I could try different things. I got the shrimp, crispy fish, and pork belly. They tasted really good, beyond my expectations. I also ordered a Mango Lassi, and I loved it! I will definitely come back and recommend it to my friends.“
“My wife loves this place, I think she would have us go here anytime we are looking to go out. I must say, the margaritas are to die for, and whoever the bartender is, they are not stingy with Tequila! Be it the watermelon, mango, or any other flavored margaritas, you can not go wrong. The food is also very good and well seasoned. Never disappointed“
“Esta lugar es "la bomba". I'm rather particular about Mexican food because I grew up on the border in El Paso, Texas. The first thing you'll notice about this restaurant is the authentic tostadas - they are thick pieces of corn tortilla, fresh and warm.I've been eating mostly vegetarian lately, so the sopes with roasted vegetables were perfect. They were a dish I would order again and again, even if I were not eating vegetarian - they're just that good!Service was prompt and polite and the prices were reasonable (for 2024).I get down to WPB/Jupiter area every few months for business. I would go out of my way to go back to this restaurant again.Vegetarian options: Sopes with roasted vegetables - superb!“
“I’ve been wanting to visit this place for years and finally took the drive from Orlando. Let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. Decided to go early for their brunch, and I had arguably one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had at this place. I highly recommend this place. I’m excited to come back and try some drinks and their dinner.“
“We are in the area every year and have never gone here. We had new company with us this year and we gave this place a chance. My wife and I came away asking why did we never try this place it is right here! 5 adults and 1 child were in our group and everyone was absolutely amazed with our food! They accommodated our party on a very busy night and our food came out quickly. The service was amazing and pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Mexican food. I know we will be back to try more of their offerings.Kid-friendliness: They had enough choices for a child to find something delicious to eat.“
“Best tacos in town, I've been to everyone!!! Consistent and delicious best lengua tacos hands down. If you like spicy salsa that's the only thing you may not like because their salsas are mild, but they do serve a jalapeno with the Mexican tacos so that is nice! Empanadas are really good and the flautas! Had their brownies for the first time two nights ago and it was very good and a generous portion.“
“This is the only place in South Florida, possibly the whole East Coast, you can get an authentic Pombazo. My sister in law who grew up in Mexico city agrees they rock. The service here is always friendly and they give you realistic expectations on when your food will be ready, often having it out faster. I have called with last minute orders on multiple occasions and never got a single bit of attitude. Highly recommend.“
“First time here this evening. What a gem! Such a nice family running the business. We had the barbacoa tacos, chips and guac and queso, all excellent. The gardens are beautiful, serene and peaceful. Will definitely recommend and visit often.“
“Very good. I tried a few of the types of tacos. Favorite was birria de res. Tinga de pollo was a little bland, but they have 6 different hot sauces to choose from at no extra charge, so not an issue. I wish this place opened back when I lived nearby; I would have been here often. Give it a try!“
“The food here is phenomenal and I genuinely crave it every time I'm back in Orlando! The service is so fast, friendly and they always listen to additional requests to make sure they get your order right! They have a cute little sitting area where you can sit and eat if you wanted to relax or take photos. Really good for an after work bite! I recommend the flautas and Sopes! :)“
“Anita and Gilberto have a gold, mine, a friend from California referred me to Anita‘s Mexican Grill, here in West Palm Beach on Okeechobee Boulevard. The food is more authentic than any other place in West Palm Beach, it’s excellent and the people that work there are hard-working and the restaurant is very clean. I go now at least once a week and the first weekend went twice. You have to try it out, Christopher. .“
“This is place is very special. Stopped on a whim on a drive between Orlando and Miami. Extremely high quality food, and the tacos are served with a generous amount of fresh shredded Mexican cheese (not sure what specific cheese it was sorry!)There are no seats inside (I ate off the hood of my car) but it’s EXTREMELY clean and organized and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely come again! Best chorizo taco I’ve ever had.“
“La comida es muy buena es uno de los mejores restaurantes mexicanos en el condado. Pero las meseras no atienden bien casi todas traen cara de amargada y les gusta atender mejor a los hombres que a las mujeres (Yo suelo visitar el lugar con mi esposo)“
“Food was amazing, fast, and affordable! Staff did not speak English but were willing to work with us through a translator and very patient. Being the only ones eating in - don't let that deter you - the highlight of our night was when they started a playlist of nothing but Backstreet Boys ?Would definitely recommend! And would go back!! Muchas gracias!Parking: Several spots in front of restaurant.“
“Been telling myself to try this place since it opened but just never gave it a shot. I ordered take out tonight to finally try it. Ordering right from their website was easy due to apple pay at checkout. Love that. The food was ready on time and I happy that I found a new taco place that I will returning to. Firecracker shrimp tacos were elite. Barrera taco had tons of flavor. Crane asada fries were also a hit. I will definitely recommend this place. If the takeout food was good I’m sure sitting down is even better.“
“I am 100% mexican, my mom was the best cook ever from both sides of my family and anyone I ever knew. I'm spoiled on authentic food from scratch and by hand. I just heard about this restaurant decided to try it. Friday 5pm it had only a couple people inside, I was not impressed, I thought about it, BUT when I opened the door I instantly could smell the delicious foods omg, I knew I had to try it !! By the time we finished eating the place was full of people. First ever Mexican Restaurant that each dish had its unique flavors, and to perfection. the beans had a flavor so good, the rice had a flavor so good, the corn tortillas were made from scratch and by hand, the chicken mole was delicious. My kids 9 and 10 are so picky, and BOTH of them ate like lil pigs and woke up this morning talking about the foods so good and want to go back !!!! Rosie our waitress was incredible ! ALL the foods were from scratch and homemade and everything delicious ! I'm a hard core food critic, BUT this restaurant hands down is the best mexican Restaurant in ALL of Florida. Foods, atmosphere, and customer service A+ 5stars.. You will NOT be disappointed , guarantee it !! Also the food portions were huge, and the prices were right. Thank you Rosie for a great experience.. Enjoy !! Que Viva.. Daniel Garcia“
“Great everything!! Delicious food, awesome service, fun decor. Yummy margaritas. Great menu for vegetarians too. Mushroom fajitas with lettuce wraps, shrimp ceviche chicken tacos and carnitas quesadilla all great. Happy hour pricing too. We’ll be back!“
“FINALLY! We found some GREAT Mexican food that I didn't have to make myself. We had a Chicken Chimichanga and the Quail and Mexican Cokes (the good stuff!). The chicken was juicy and tender, perfectly cooked! My partner loved the spicy hot sauce. We arrived tired and hungry and we're cheered by the very homey atmosphere. Waitress patient and helpful.“
“This little Latin bar has always been one of my favorites favorites it used to be very very busy there especially on weekends but now because of the pandemic and the problems their business has slowed down but it's always tranquil It's always calm and the people there are wonderful“
“I almost don’t want to leave a review because that means more people and the lines already get pretty long. These tacos are the best locally, in my opinion. The meat is savory and the onions are perfect!!! Omg I could eat 10 in one sitting. I went with my son and they gave him a free drink. I love establishments that are kid friendly. Leave tips <3 they are amazing!!“
“I believe they used to be over on Rosemary Ave, across the street from the Cheesecake Factory. The food is sooo good. Tastes like they have grandma in the back kitchen whipping a good home cooked meal. Highly recommended, can’t go wrong with anything you order. Service was exceptional as well. This place is officially my taco spot!“
“This food truck is located on military trail and cherry road. I arrived there yesterday at9:44pm and was not aware they closed at 9:30pm. They were already cleaning up and packing up. The owner and the staff were extremely courteous and still insisted on taking my order and making my food. My favorite item is the “flautas” (in English it translates to flutes- see photo). They are AMAZING. I love supporting local business. You MUST try this place out.“
“It's a small restaurant, and the waitress was kinda skeptical about us haha! But! I gotta say the tacos i had were very very good! My co worker had taco also and he also said they were good and surprised they served tacos of tripa! The way he likes them! Well done guys!!“
“Love the environment, grabbed some food and went inside the house which seemed almost like a speak easy, loved the art def a hidden gem a ifykyk type of thing… music was good vibes were awesome everyone was friendly l.. very creative establishment… my favorite was the Al Capone!! And absolutely obsessed with the coconut shrimp tacos!!“
“Omg I can't say it loud enough how much I've grown to love this small family owned spot! I was set to get a fruit bowl next door during my lunch and noticed their Special sign and decided to give it a try. Well I'm so glad my stomach had a change otherwise I couldn't post a review about this Hidden Gem!! This place is family owned( no, not my family I'm just a foodie customer), super friendly mom, dad and son. They cater more to sea food menu but I am currently in love with their enchilada special as well as that homemade salsa that is fantastic. I mean it's so spicy but I can't help dumping the entire thing on my plate. I have seen others eating seafood plates and shrimp cocktails.. their food looked to be hearty and plentiful to me work the price. Stop in, give them a try be your own judge but I'm sure you won't be disappointed“
“That skirt steak dinner is Amazing it was soft not chewy who ever is in that kitchen cooking is doing it with love. There is also a greek place across the street that is amazing the food in this area is great. Staff was also great. Both great for dates but not full blown dinner parties due to limited seating. ??“
“Easy to miss restaurant when driving down Broadway. We come here every other week for a quick bite, we are local, the wait staff is quick and friendly. The food has always been delicious every time. The neighborhood is unsavory at times, so if you feel unsafe (I'm used to the riff-raff) it's best to order to go. But definitely worth a try!“
“While visiting Palm Beach with a group of 11 people, we ate at this really good Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere was very happy and lively. Everyone enjoyed the entrée that they chose and the service was really good. If you are in Palm Beach, this is a great place to try.“
“Great place to sit down and eat ? or take out and also super kind staff, who's always making sure we are good on what we need. also the bar is a great place to sit n chill for a few drinks n chips and salsa... Big Ups To Ed And The LA Fogata Crew??“
“Would recommend to all my fellow Texans that are missing a taste of home. First place I have found that knows what a Michelada is supposed to taste like! The drink was spot on. Very nice people greeting and serving you! The food was delicious as well and I can’t wait to get back and try more. From a scale of 1 not feeling like home, to a 10, A taste of being back in Texas, I would give it a strong 8. Only because it was more to the Mexican side than the Texican (Tex-Mex) side. That is a compliment. Haven’t found anything as close since I have been here.“
“This was such a find, do not be fooled by the strip mall location. The Mexican food is fabulous, the decor incredible and the staff is friendly. Did I mention the food is inexpensive too? If you are in the West Palm Beach area, do not miss this gem. This is where you will find the locals celebrating“
