“When you walk in and El Alfa is playing so loud I have to repeat my order to the cashier, you know the food is going to be legit. Tight little gas station with a fantastically popular cafe inside. Sadly, I didn't get to try the food- when I arrived there were only some meager looking ham and cheese croissants left, I wanted a classic guava pastry! The cafe con leche though? Let me tell ya. Five stars, perfecto cafe, strong. There was a line approaching being outside the door by the time I left. I'm sure the pastries and sandwiches were banging since there were none left at 0900. I'm going to go ahead and give them 5 estrellas 'cause they deserve it.“

“We had paella which I wasn't aware is a Cuban dish rather than Spanish but it was delicious. Cocktails were good. Service was quick (they prepared the paella in less than the advertised 1h despite us not pre-ordering it) but the restaurant wasn't busy when we were there. Not very atmospheric though. “I have eaten at Cuban restaurants from New York, Puerto Rico and Florida including Don Ramon in Miami and the other Palm Beach locations. This location is without doubt the best of the best. The servers went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The ambience was rustic but elegant. I had the churrasco steak with sauteed onions, morro rice and sweet plantains. The food was like ambrosia (Food of the gods}. It was a great pleasure to dine there. I Thank the staff on behalf of myself, my wife and brother in law and his wife.“

“So far I've tried the Cuban Sanguish, the croquetas, guava pastries and sweet plantains. The sanwich was very good and its pretty thick in pork meat. I found it a tad over seasoned for my taste but that's just me. Overall I really enjoyed the sandwich and I shared the pastries with my co-workers and they really liked them. I was there yesterday planning to eat something different since the last couple of times I was there, I ate sancocho, but I ended up having sancocho one more time since it is so good. I think that they just added this dish to their menu because I don't remember seeing it before. I ordered 2x krazy cuban sandwich and was blown away with the flavors…I didn’t know one could twist up my all time fav Cuban staple sandwich….but Chef Manny sure out did himself….and the pink sauce goes great with the sandwich and fries! “My husband and I both ordered shrimp in garlic sauce with yellow rice, plantains and black beans. Large portions, well seasoned and very flavorful. My husband loves flan, so he ordered it and our waiter suggested some coconut on the side as I had mentioned that I really like coconut. I’m not a big fan of sweets and this was quite sweet but very delicious. The coconut was a great addition. Overall, a really good meal and great service.“
