Last night my wife and I went out to dinner with our 9-year-old son (who is on the spectrum), and we had one of those moments that can feel overwhelming in public.
He accidentally dropped his cup, it made a big mess, and he immediately got really upset and started crying. He stopped eating and couldn’t settle back in until he had a new cup he was just that shaken.
