“I brought my best friend for her birthday and my partner who loves Roccos. I added in the reservation notes that we were dining for a birthday celebration. I didn't expect anything to happen with that comment except for maybe a "Happy Birthday" which my server acknowledged, but not only that, at the end of our delicious meals a Tres Leches cake with a roasted merengue topping with a little candle was brought out and placed right in front of my best friend. “I just celebrated my birthday with 3 of my friends at Epazote. The food was incredible we left so full! The staff were all friendly, kind and patient! The restaurant is small but it gave such a cozy warm vibe that I loved it! We had the Taquiza (assorted taco platter) as an appetizer and it was so much food! We also had guacamole and the Queso Fundido (OMG gooey delicious cheese!) Even though we barely had room for anything else, we also ordered main dishes that we knew we’d have take home. The Pescado Frito (grilled whole snapper) was phenomenal. The fajitas came out sizzling and steaming. The Quesabirrias were so flavorful and the consume is to die for. You can tell they use fresh homemade ingredients and infuse everything with love and passion. I can’t wait to come back for Taco Tuesday snd Margarita Monday!“

“Was looking forward to the Ceviche I had on our first night on vacation. I came back to have the Ceviche again a few days later since I loved it so much and the Ceviche was completely different. All shrimp…. Did not even taste like Ceviche. Was sooo disappointed. I wish they would have told us before we ordered or I would have gotten something else instead. Let your customers know if the menu changes. I walked through high winds and rain to come back to this restaurant before flying back home.“

I recently visited CT Cantina at Dania Pointe and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and fun—the vibe and music on Friday night were energetic (a bit loud, but part of the lively ambiance). Service was spot-on: fast, attentive, and our drinks were refilled promptly without having to ask.

What stood out:

The salsa game is strong—super flavorful and authentic. The only downside: the bright red overhead lights made it impossible to distinguish which salsa was which, since they all looked red.

Fresh chips and multiple dips were a treat—though I found them slightly oily, they still had great crunch and taste.

Tacos were solid but had some quirks: the flour tortillas were surprisingly thick, and they shrunk in size compared to past visits. The chicken felt a touch too salty and a bit dry. Still, flavors were enjoyable overall.

On the downside, there was no dessert station anymore—apparently your favorite dessert has been removed. That was a bummer, especially since you used to love it.

Summary:
CT Cantina & Taqueria delivers great ambiance, helpful staff, fast service, and excellent salsas and chips. While the tortilla texture and smaller portions with slightly salty chicken dragged the experience down a bit—and losing the dessert option was disappointing—it’s still worth a visit. Hoping they bring back that dessert station soon!

“Usually pretty good. I placed a pickup order online for a Carne Asada Burroto, picked it up, got home and opened it and it was some tacos. I think I got someone else's order. Called to see if I could bring it back and get the burrito I ordered and it immediately goes to voice mail repeatedly. Oh well...guess I'm having tacos? We decided to leave and offered to pay for the beverages and chips but they would not let us pay . The cashier said she could take our order but we already had waited and decided it was best to just go ahead and leave …On the way out there were 3 vacant tables inside ….If we eat El Guanico in the future we will order to go because the service is just not there anymore. “Our new favorite place Can't believe we have been sleeping on this place since it's literally down the street from my house. Punkys Tacos is an absolute vibe and the food is fire. 🔥 We are already planning what we are getting next time Our server Julie was great with suggestions of favorites especially since it was our first time. Queso dip and Chips - the addition of chorizo was a nice twist that jazzed this classic up Cheetodilla - I cant even put into words this quesadilla with a hot cheeto twist. My daughter ❤️ loved it Fish tacos - perfectly crunchy Mahi with Pink corn shells .. Pink !!!!! The atmosphere of the place was enjoyable with music 🎶 and table settings that gave it a homey feel. Next Friday is there 1 year anniversary and they are having a big party. Go check them out.“

“Yum yum yum !!! Wheeew! So I usually drive far to get ACTUAL FLAVOR in tacos. But they have the flavor on lock and I am sooooo glad this is like 10 min from me 🤭. I get the steak tacos with everything and horchata! I recently got Flan and cheesecake because they make it fresh there and it was delicious, I just wish the flan had more of the sweet sauce. “I have loved this restaurant since 2000!!! I used to work nearby. I just went yesterday and it is STILL exactly the same deliciousness I always get carne asada it comes with cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and guacamole and sour cream. I always switch the yellow rice and black beans to white rice and cheesy refried beans. They are fast to serve the food and never have I ever anything but perfect service. It was located in an area we don’t travel much to so most likely won’t return only due to the location. Strange area for it to be parked in. “Worst Service Ever! Read the Fine Print.. When I was informed that My "Happy Hour" margaritas were suddenly Double Priced because I didn't order any entrees.. Marie the MOD who claimed to be an Owner/ Family member told us "is this your first time here?" stating I had been here several times. Marie then replied "Then you should know The rules" and began to berate the poor waitress right there at the table about not informing us of this rules! I was not only so embarrassed for the poor waitress but embarrassed for Miss Marie who claims to be an owner! I've been in the hospitality industry for years and have never in my life seen such behavior by a well known establishment. I paid my check and tipped the poor waitress well. after leaving I then went back and apologized again to the poor waitress for her manager/owners behavior. if corporate reads this, there's a coaching opportunity for Miss Marie. she should not be in management. to stand at a customers table in the middle of a crowded dining room and argue insisting that the customers are wrong and should know the rules is unacceptable! I don't mind playing by the rules but I need to know what they are first. I have visited La Bamba on several occasions over my years in Fort Lauderdale. that will end immediately!! I will never again visit or recommend La Bamba to anyone. consumer Beware $50.00 for 4 6oz well Margaritas is a crime within itself. you have several locations and have been successful maybe it's time you check yourself and remember where you came from. sincerely disgusted by La Bamba and it's supposed owner!“
