I recently visited this local with my daughter, non-franchise yogurt shop, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was something special. The shop is owned and run by a friendly owner, who personally attended to us with such warmth and care.

“This place is great! Ice cream bases are frozen so quickly because of liquid nitrogen they have NO ice crystals at all just velvety smooth frozen ice cream! The price for the mix-in ingredients is $0.75 each. So if you get too creative it can become really pricey. However my chocolate with marshmallows, cookies dough and chocolate chips was exactly what I wanted and perfect! The liquid nitrogen allows for dairy free ice creams that have great texture when eaten right away. My wife didn't finish hers so we packed it for home and they froze it in the liquid nitrogen to go so it didn't melt and we put it in our freezer for the following day. It was rock hard, so I'd recommend you save room for dessert or get a smaller size. Some of their options don't taste as rich or creamy as some authentic ice cream shops that have their ice cream made before you get there. But it's a great place to bring kids or for the creative eaters in your life!

“I brought my two sons, 6 and 9, along with some friends. We had 15 meal deal, hamburger or chicken tenders, ice cream fries, and drink. The food was hot and delish. The ice cream was fantastic. We had rainbow sherbet, birthday cake, and strawberry. The people were friendly and helpful. They had table game like tic tac toe, connect four. The bathrooms had neon signs which the kids thought was cool. Overall good time.“

“Don't you just love the smell of fresh brewed coffee in the morning? I'm not a frequent coffee drinker, but when I do get the taste for a hot cup of Joe, I'm very picky on where I get it from.

Located in the Pompano Citi Centre, Foxtail Coffee offers various brewed coffee or tea made hot or cold. There's also bakery items, cold beverages, quick bite sandwiches, and ice cream. Prices are reasonable. There's adequate seating indoors to chill in its serene ambiance. The female employee behind the counter was pleasant...it being my first time in this establishment, I took my time to look at the menu and make my decision. I haven't had cafe con leche in a long time so I decided to get that. Next I ordered a egg, ham, and cheese croissant and a slice of banana bread as well.

Having some time to kill, I took a seat at an available table while my order was being prepared. Here are my thoughts:

* The cafe con leche was delicious. Not too strong and lightly sweet. Regular size is just the right amount as I do not drink a lot of coffee.

* The egg, ham, and cheese croissant was yummy. The croissant was lightly toasted enough to melt the Gouda cheese a bit for a ooey gooey taste.

* I declined the option to have the banana bread slice heated...in my opinion, it was good as is. A nice moist thick slice topped with walnut pieces.

This was definitely a nice and fulfilling way to start a beautiful morning.“

“Just had our first experience at Peak 9. Honestly one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a long time. The crepes are made as you wait and are delicious! Place is owned by two brothers who really care about the business. It’s a bit off the beaten track for tourists but is close enough to Lauderdale by the Sea for a good walk with the rewards of an excellent cup of coffee. (On Commercial Blvd just past Bayview on the South side).“
