“John G's is somewhat nostalgic for me... it was bassistBreakfast spot where my Dad and I would come to have our Daddy Daughter Breakfast Day after a walk along the Beach. It was before they moved to Manalapan... but we continued going even after(although it changed the atmosphere drastically). It's still a nice Breakfast place, food is still on point but this last visit just didn't feel as special... the big bouquet of fresh flowers was not there and the staff that day wasn't as warm and friendly as what I remember and used to. Maybe I didn't time it right and maybe it was just an off day so I'll give grace this visit and hope that the next visit will be better. No matter my experience, I hope your experience becomes a memorable one Oh yeah... you gotta order the classic Cream Cheese French Toast!! “We had the pleasure of dining last night at Amar Mediterranean Bistro, and incredible would be an understatement. From the the initial warm greeting we received from the hostess, to the top shelf waitress (Sara) who was not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable of the menu and wine list. The menu is incredible and I would be hard pressed to believe that anything plated would be less then perfection. My only warning is you better go with an empty stomach because your first bite will definitely draw you in!“

“I always saw this place and never got to come in. I finally came in for lunch today with my family and upon arriving the atmosphere and decor was soooo cute! So much to look at and very sailor- esque if you will. Our server was Nathalie. She came over right away. She was so sweet and nice. The food came out in a timely manner and was really good considering the price point. We had the crabcakes, fried shrimp basket, sweet potato fries, and snow crab. My bloody Mary was fabulous and the margaritas are good. Definitely recommend coming here!“

“Sunny South Florida spring is all about enjoying the outdoors and sharing a good meal with family and friends. Driftwood was the perfect place to do both. They have a nice beer, cocktail, and wine selection. One of my dinner companions chose the Copperpoint Bees Squeeze - a light beer, perfect for the warm breezy evening. To start, I really wanted to try the fried chicken oysters while others wanted to try to the beef empanada, so why not both? The chicken was moist, perfectly fried, and the mac & cheese spaetzle was out of this world, especially with the tang of the few pickle slices on the plate. The beef empanada really hit the spot - it was a great combination of the fried dough, succulent meat, and pickled onions. We had to order two, because one is too little to share between three people. In no time, our main entrees arrived by really knowledgeable and friendly staff. We couldn't keep our forks out of the others' dishes, because all were so different and delicious. The rigatoni had just the right amount of bite and every crevice of the pasta was covered in a delicious bolognese sauce and sharp cheese. The chicken and dumplings brought me back to growing up in Tennessee (except this dish was better!). You know how you get a plate of chicken and dumplings and there's never enough dumplings? Not this time. The dumplings were plenty, the chicken was moist and tender, the sauce was seasoned just right, and the celery and parsley leaves gave it a really bright flavor. And finally, the shrimp and grits was hearty with large shrimp well-cooked, smothered in a slightly spicy sauce. I could eat that plate for breakfast lunch and dinner... every day. We were all very happy with all aspects of our meal, and look forward to trying the dishes that we gawked at all night at other people's tables!“

“As always from making the reservation until paying the bill the place is awesome. We had the octopus appetizer, then my wife had a salad and I had oysters. All were amazing. For dinner my wife had the filet which was cooked to perfection as was my bone in ribeye. Our sides were had the brussel sprouts and the tater tots and they were equally as tasty. They gave us a complimentary cheesecake as we were celebrating or 22nd wedding anniversary. The staff is attentive, the food is fabulous and being in downtown Delray is always fun. Can't wait to be there again.“

“Wow wow wow! Party of 6 on a Friday night. Last minute reservation but we were able to hang out while our table was ready. We sat by the bar and enjoyed a couple drinks. The Japanese old fashioned was phenomenal. We finally got our table and were sat outside in the patio. Very chic music isn't too loud which is great. Service was amazing. Food was just as amazing. “I was invited to a birthday party dinner here and I didn't realize that the restaurant was outdoors. It was very quaint. This is not a fancy place but we had an amazing time. It was a Tuesday night they had karaoke singing and we had so much fun. The drinks were great strong and good alcohol. The fryers were down so anything we ordered had to be grilled which was fine with me. The food was surprisingly delicious I was a little nervous because all of it was all prepared on a food truck. I ate the grilled chicken salad and it was delicious. My husband ate the cheese burger and it was cooked perfect. Absolutely fresh and delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was great he brought everything out and we were a large party so it was challenging. He was personable and made everyone feel welcome. I would have to say this was a great night for everyone and this place is a hidden gem. If you want to have a great night out with no pressure this is the place to go.“

Two brothers run the show. You almost never see this level of dedication to cuisine. If you like Applebees or think bronzino is exotic, or want to pose at the bar like Cafe Europe, this isn't for you. But if you love ingredients and take deep pleasure in the unctuousness of a tomato sauce with (not too much) rosemary or the perfect sear on a filet of snapper that was swimming a few miles east just yesterday, you won't find better anywhere near.“

When they’re closed and want to see if any other place comes even close I end up having to recook the oxtail for hours or not even eat it.. they set the standard of flavor and texture at an unbeatable level. I love that the specials are displayed on an electronic board so you can remember it all First time here I had the short rib Benedict which was recommended by the manager and it was great!! This time I saw their Shrimp & Grits so gave it a try since I love that dish. While it wasn't bad, I honestly wasn't a fan since I prefer a more gravy and savory/flavorful taste. This one was rather cheesy with smaller grilled shrimp. I placed another order which was the Crab Cake Benedict and it was AMAZING. The crab cake was made to perfect and the hollandaise sauce was just right. It's safe to say that the Eggs Benedict is my favorite dish there“
