“It's a McDonald's. Well, a renovated McDonald's with a fancy, impersonal ordering kiosk. But they do have little plastic numbers you take to your table and they will bring your food to you, which is nice.

At that point, why don't they just have the runners take the orders at the counter? I mean, it can't possibly be that they are also preparing the order. Right? So, one person is just sitting there waiting for an order to be completed so they can scurry it on over to your table, all while the other employees are doing everything else? I guess fancy restaurants also have expos, but they also have servers. Hmm, now that I'm actually thinking about it, maybe McDonald's is on to something. Maybe Ruth's Chris should have little kiosks at every tab...holy shnikes! McDonald's is the Chili's of fast food! Or, rather, Chili's is the McDonald's of mediocre, casual dining.

Bugger me, do McDonald's runners expect to be tipped? Have we been stiffing them all this time?

They do a pretty decent job for a McDonald's, but just check your order before you leave if you are going through the drive thru or getting it togo. If they forget a part of your order and/or give you the wrong order, and they probably will, just remember, these folks don't make much. Go easy on them. They're going to make it right, so just don't be rude about it.“

“What do I recommend? Anything!! Everything!! We had the fried grouper dinner with coleslaw and fries. The grouper was so fresh and juicy. And flaky!!! The coleslaw tasted like my mom’s! 🥰 and the hush puppies were pure perfection. We had planned to visit a place over in Destin but the prices were ridiculous!! $42 for six jumbo shrimp?! C’mon!! I honestly wasn’t expecting the quality of food for the price I paid! Great food. Great prices! I only dealt with T who took my order and was so courteous and Joey who I just had to tell about our wonderful experience. I told her we would be back before we leave and I’ve already planned my Sunday dinner! This was the Stewby’s on Racetrack Drive in Fort Walton. Highly recommend it!“

“I enjoyed my three slider platter, had an amazing amount of deliciousness for that tiny slider. Beware of the drink by the name of “the Calli” it is quite spicy, however a drink that they make very well is an old fashioned. I didn’t catch the name of our waiter ,but he was always checking on us, making sure we were having a good time, and making sure our spicy drink was taken care of properly.“

“We have been watching the page since opening and are so pleased with our selection of the steamed seafood platter for 2. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. The platter actually looked just like the pics online! (How often does that happen?) Our server Baylee was very attentive, helpful and prompt. We ended with Tiramisu and left with big smiles! We will be back.“
