We heard this restaurant was kid friendly with a water area for littles to play so we decided to check it out while we were out in the area. We had a great experience! “Dustin's Bar-B-Q- Melbourne, FL- 4 Stars (Chain Restaurant Score) There are a few things we hold sacred here on the Space Coast one of those being Publix subs and the other being barbecue. Florida may be more of a melting pot than the rest of the South, but we still know good barbecue and in fact, insist upon it. I mention this as my random name generator appointed Dustin's Bar-B-Q in Melbourne as my next destination. One of my researchers was able to find out that they have been around since 1991, with their flagship perhaps being their Deland location, though this could not be confirmed. They are family-owned and operated and have expanded to 6 locations spaced from Orlando to Ormond Beach and down to our beloved Melbourne. Pulling into their Melbourne location I was greeted with a barren parking lot. Exiting the Big Boy Mobile, I am pretty sure I heard the wind whistle and witnessed a tumbleweed roll on by, but don't quote me on that. This could mean something, It could not. Remember readers, never judge a book by its cover, or in this case the food by the parking lot. The interior was COVID clean, well-spaced and pleasantly lit. I really enjoyed the plants throughout, real or not, they gave a nice warm feel to the joint. I was shown a table, handed a menu and got to work. I soon noticed a lady measuredly advancing upon my table, when she arrived, she languidly introduced herself as, Janelle. Janelle, while being competent and pleasant wasn't going to win any service awards, but she wasn't going to bring the curve down either. She asked if I had any questions or if I was ready to order. I requested an order of their Beef, Pork and Chicken Combo with sides of BBQ beans, mac and cheese and garlic bread. With an empty establishment, I was expecting my order to be done promptly and I was not disappointed as I soon saw Janelle unhurriedly escorting my meal to the table. Looking at the pictures, I can only assure my readers that from the food encapsulated therein there arose such a fragrant, down-home, Southern barbecue aroma that I nearly began to drool before Janelle had stepped back and asked if there was anything else with which she could help. Reaching blindly for my utensils, I absently brushed her off and commenced dining. The Beef, pork and chicken were all well cooked to barbecue perfection and while the sauce was nice and tangy, I measure all BBQ by Cryderman's (the gold standard) and this was not on that level. Even with flavorful garlic bread, competently prepared beans and properly cooked mac & cheese, this was just a tad short of the bar set by Cryderman's. This food was miles above Woody's and other nearby places, but not the top of the line. There is nothing wrong with that. If I'm in the mood or with a companion in the mood for above-average barbecue, I wouldn't think twice about stopping back in here. “Another Broken Egg Cafe 705 Palm Bar Rd NE West Melbourne, FL 32905 4.5 Stars (chain restaurant review) Having grown to a modest 91 locations since 1996, it's safe to say Another Broken Egg Cafe is here to stay. With more than half of those (54) being franchise-owned and having an annual revenue of over $2 million per location, it's also safe to say this is a good investment. That one was free. Ashley was my service pro for the meal and she was OUTSTANDING in every way a server could. The streak stands at seven. I asked Ashley for one Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich, an order of Shrimp & Grits, some Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast (because, did you see the name of that dish?) and a half order of Beignets. As Ashley retreated to place my order, I snapped a few pics of the joint and kicked back to await my Strawb....err, order. Based on the turnaround and presentation of said order, I would hazard a guess that the kitchen staff on hand was as pro in their duties as Ashley was in hers. I mean, look at that stuff! Pausing long enough to place my napkin, I eagerly grabbed the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich and took a goodly sized bite. As the flavors hit my palate, my jaw paused mid-mastication to allow the deliciousness to wash over my mouth like a wave of savory succulence. West "By Gawd" Melbourne, you are some lucky sumwitches to have this in your neighborhood. The chicken tender was juicy and that sausage gravy was to die for. However, as with all things sandwich, it's all about the bread/base and as sure as there are mosquitoes in Alligator Alcatraz, this was some of the best biscuit I have ever had. It was crisp on the outside and all flaky-moist goodness on the inside. This right here is 5 Star all the way. Forcing myself to move on to the next dish, I plopped a forkful of Shrimp & Grits into maw. Dang. This was as tasty as the Biscuit Sandwich. I'm on a roll today! The flavors were outstanding. The grits were cooked to perfection; however, the sausage and shrimp were mid-grade, and I was not expecting that. This brings us to our penultimate stop on our culinary journey through the menu of Another Broken Egg Cafe: the staggeringly beautiful Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast. Look at the picture. Look at it! French toast-style pound cake topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and crème brûlée sugar - how could this not be fantastic? This was literally divine and is highly recommended. I had to stop myself or I wouldn't have room for even one bite of the item yet to be sampled, their Beignets. These were warm, tasty and topped with a gorgeous marmalade that I would crawl across broken eggshells for. The whole meal was eggselent and literally a sausage switch away from being 5 stars. The Big Boy says, "Just go already, but avoid the sausage for now."“

Aiden and Jayden took excellent care of us… the beers were absolutely phenomenal. We sampled many and enjoyed every single one! We are a bit snobbish on craft beers and this place hit all our top marks! We ordered the brisket burger with onion rings and it was recommended to try the barbecue sauce with it by Jaden. Honestly, it was absolutely fabulous. All of their sauces are homemade, including the honey mustard in the ranch dippy’s that we got. The table looked absolutely beautiful with a crisp white tablecloth, red and green napkins folded into a Christmas tree pattern, a red runner down the middle and short holiday decor in the middle, so you could visit across the table. Our waitress, Lisa, did a fine job of spoiling us throughout our visit. I ordered a muddled Old Fashion which was the best one I have ever had, ymm.
