I just wanted to leave a personally good review on this place first I absolutely love the hospitality and service here. i instantly feel absolutely welcomed and relaxed the prices are fair and a great quality for what you pay for and the kitchen is right by the bar so you can basically watch them prepare you're food. as for the taste of the drinks and food 10/10 imo never a bad dish or drink served and not to mention the drop dead gorgeous and great waitresses that serve you Ms...read full review
My husband and I drove from Lakeland, FL. to eat here.The food and service are exceptional. We fell in love with the town and the people. Unfortunately in October God took my husband home,I'm hoping to get back to Melrose and have lunch at the restaurant some day in the future. The price is also very reasonable.
My mom is in town from TX and we wanted to really get a great meal. Man we hit a home run. Reagan was our server. She recommended the fried seafood platter. It was AMAZING. We've been in Florida for four years and this is one of the top five meals we've had in that time. Thank you so much Blue Water Bay. The fried shrimp was the best I've ever had. 50 years on earth and it was the best!

Blue Water Bay offers excellent seafood, steaks, and potatoes in a comfortable atmosphere. The fried shrimp is fresh, and the Sour Chocolate Pie is a hit. The restaurant hosts singing nights, and the service personnel are usually prompt and friendly, making it a local gem worth visiting, even if one lives far away. While prices are a bit high, the quality and portions make it worth it. Recently, the Sunday brunch menu featured smaller (but reasonable sized) seafood offerings, with the Fried Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp on Grits receiving praise for being very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great, not loud or overcrowded, and the stained glass throughout adds charm. However, some guests have noted that service can be exceptionally slow, with dishes taking up to 75 minutes after ordering, so it's best to plan to sit a spell. Don’t miss out on the father's day buffet for an unforgettable dining experience.
