“I visited this place while walking around Miami Beach and really loved it! Excellent Turkish and halal food — especially the gyros and kebabs. The meat was juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. Portions are generous, and it’s great value for the price.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming — they even offered Turkish tea or baklava as a dessert, which was a really nice touch. The atmosphere is cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for a warm day.

“I came from Algeria in July with my husband and my daughters, and we ate at this restaurant several times without ever getting tired of it. The food is excellent, and the owner is very attentive, welcoming, and helpful. A big thank you for my daughter’s birthday cake — it was a very touching gesture that meant a lot to us. “Tucked into the Oceanside of our favorite Boutique Hotel in NOBE, this place will WOW you with their food, atmosphere and view. The staff is phenomenal, service is excellent. We’ve had most everything on the menu over the years, most recently the Ahi Tartar, Greek Salad, Grape Arugula Salad, Kalypso Burger and pizzas (Margarita and Mushroom), Lamb Shank and Short Rib, everything was perfectly prepared and presented. It’s accessible from the beach walk or Collin’s Ave. you will not be disappointed with a visit to this fine establishment. Achilles and his staff including Kenny and Niko will treat you like family.“

“Asked for a cocktail with Gingerale and they gave me something else. Asked for Miami Beach water and got some pricey bottled water. They asked if we had a reservation and we did for a birthday celebration and no one said happy birthday. There was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived. Servers were not overly attentive nor did they send me understand English perfectly well. Place was nice. Gazpacho and shrimp were both good. Valet parkers did not understand English at all. Bathroom was clean. Won't rush back but we'll give them another try someday.“

“Walkin- without reservation but were seated immediately. The setting is in general atmospheric and romantic. However, to seat two we were led to tables that are jammed uncomfortably close together, requiring contortions to enter and escape. By use and several other duos in our area. So I have to ding the atmosphere rating for the discomfort inflicted on pairs.
Service was generally outstanding until the time we wanted the bill at which point our server was always looking elsewhere or chatting within my view with a colleague (the restaurant was not full, either). We were already in for the 20% service surcharge so she was not so interested in us any longer, I suppose.

Food: oysters on the half shelf small, lacking in liquor. Maybe I'm spoiled from having oysters in Maryland and Massachusetts, but these were paltry things.
My partner had a good helping of nice broccolini along with a really nice margherita pizza on a delightful thin crust. Great little pizza I will say. I had a Caesar salad which hewed to the supposed original composition and was thus untorn. They really should note this on the menu since it comes as an awkward disappointment to some of us if the establishment goes that route. Heavy dressing already applied unevenly on some of it made for an uneven experience.

“This place is worth braving the traffic or whatever else might be in your way. We had an absolutely fantastic experience on a Friday night. Some highlights: a tour of the fresh (some still alive) fish on offer, including explanations of their provenance. We had four people who have been around some great restaurants before but each of us learned something right then and there. The waiter actually brought us over to the iced storage area so we could see these fellas before we ordered em up. The bread with olive oil and fresh oregano cut table-side was a really great start to what proved to be an exceptionally good meal. Highlights: the sashimi. I think my friend JC entered an altered transcendent state with that. The scallops: big and perfectly sautéed, a little crisp on the outside and just right on the inside. The calamari: and don't miss that black ink risotto. Also, we didn't order it but it seemed like everyone else in the place had a giant watermelon/feta/basil salad and were pretty delighted with it. The colors alone made it worth the effort. Finally, while I could go on about the tiger shrimp or the chocolate mousse cake, I want to add that my husband ordered mint tea. No Twinnings tea bag here. Rather a heated cup and a hot pot of boiling water poured over actual mint leaves with a side of honey. A perfect end to a really fantastic dinner experience. No notes. Please go.“
