I stopped in here tonight while visiting Miami with a friend. We read the reviews and saw that locals highly recommend it. Now we know why! The food was incredible, our server was so nice, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We are so glad we stopped in!

Pilar Latin Food is a charming, family-owned spot in South Beach. The restaurant feels personal and welcoming. The food is delicious and has an authentic, homemade taste. The presentation is great, and the meals are paired beautifully. The fried whole fish is crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the mango papaya shake is creamy and refreshing. The carne asada is very tasty, served with fried plantain, beans and rice, a small salad, and a slab of cheese. The seafood soup is fabulous and the shrimp cocktail is delicious, served with a creamy homemade seafood sauce. The staff is fantastic, welcoming, and makes customers feel at home. Pilar Latin Food is a great addition to the SoBe food scene and a place worth returning to, with excellent prices and a relaxed atmosphere.
