9 Best Mexican Restaurants in Mount Dora

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“Had our first experience yesterday. The fruit drinks are super tasty! The tacos, empanadas and sopes were delicious! The pastor was our favorite! Definitely planning to return! It is an outdoor place with one table and five chairs so plan accordingly. But the food was delicious!“

My daughter had the burrito ? it was pricey but HUGE. I was just looking for a new authentic Mexican place, and I was pleasantly surprised.“
