“My husband works in Gulf Gate, just a few storefronts down from Clever Cup, and we have been getting coffee from here since they have opened. I can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad experience and the coffee and baked goods are always delicious! The baristas are amazing and although we probably shouldn't have favorites, I simply adore Veronika and Karissa. The two of them are always ready with a smile, a cheerful, 'Good Morning!' and even if I've had an icky start to my day, the two of them are always able to brighten my mood and I wind up walking out with delicious coffee and a smile. “Jeremy the host was very welcoming and explained the difference between the dining room upstairs and the tavern/bar downstairs. This was our first visit and he suggested upstairs. We were sat at a lovely table outside overlooking the water. Our waitress Becky was very attentive professional and pleasant. The food did take longer than expected but overall the quality was very good.“

“Been coming here for years. Usually sit at the bar, tended most nights by Kelly. She’s always smiling, knows her drinks & will take good care of you. Mondays from 5:30 to 8:30 you’ll hear the whiskey-voiced singer-pianist Joe Thayer, who plays jazz standards, soft & classic rock, and a few pop tunes. Food’s excellent…lots of choices & a few daily specials—which sometimes go fast. Can get busy during the season…best to reserve in advance. Great place for holidays if you don’t want to cook!“

She said she'd be right back for order. 15 minutes later others were seated, and actually served. Our waitress rook the order fir a couple who had just been seated and then took ours. I complained to the hostess who took off our coffees. The waitress apologized for serving the other couple first. She didn't understand that we had waited an additional 20 minutes to PLACE our order. I never complain, I've been wait staff. The wait staff there has always been fabulous until today. She is clueless.“

We were seated right away and found a lovely anniversary card and rose petals on our table, which was a wonderful touch to commemorate our special day. Our server, Erin, was warm and engaging, and manager Scott stopped by to wish us a happy anniversary and offer a delicious cheesecake dessert on the house. Our filet and shrimp were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We also enjoyed the house salad and garlic mashed potatoes.
