“stopped in for lunch today. the food was decent, needed more flavor for me. the service was lack luster. waited over ten minutes from time being seated with menus until a server came over to bring us water and see if we wanted anything else. the server returned a couple times, but then at the end was too involved with her cellphone at the service station. even to the point of taking it over to 2 other employees to see before realizing that we were growing inpatient with waiting for the check. overall I give it a 7/10.“

“The food and service did not disappoint. My wife had the mahi tuna salad. It was excellent and crunchy as described on the menu I had scallops. They were perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was very good. Everything arrived timely hot, and the waiter did not hover have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and this is one of the better onesnot exceptionally expensive and in a mall but quite good food and service and I highly recommend.“

“I made reservations for my friend's birthday and 2 other guests were joining us. Unfortunately the reservation went to another Tiramisu in another city. Therefore, no reservations showed when our party arrived. The host was icey, lacked empathy or understanding. He was extremely demeaning and haughty. Finally sat us at a table next to the kitchen which was appreciated. Our waiter was stellar and made everything feel friendly again. The food was outstanding......every course. Im a local for 48 years but the host made me feel like an idiot. Never smiled (not to anyone else arriving later). Maybe not the best first impression to offer your patrons.“

“Root & Seed Cafe is absolutely my type of place! From the moment you walk in, you can feel how much heart and care goes into everything they do. The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the owners are truly such wonderful people.

I also love that everything is made fresh! And the gluten-free desserts are a huge bonus for me. It’s so nice to find a place where I can enjoy delicious, fresh desserts without feeling like I’m missing out.

“the food was amazing! we got 2 pizzas, wings, and buffalo chicken dip. everything was delicious. service was horrible. waited a long time for someone to even come over there. after our food arrived shortly and we finished we waited FORVER on the bill. we could had walked out. ridiculous! overall we were sat outside on a beautiful evening and there was a gorgeous sunset. and the sun was in my husbands eyes and we asked nicely to but the umbrella up. that was short lived. we were informed that the umbrella was broke. and had to sit with the sun in his eyes. the money they receive should be plenty enough to buy a new umbrella.“

“We went to the location on Gandy Boulevard today. We were just passing by and saw it so looked up the menu online. At this particular location there was a kiosk to order and no indoor seating. There was a taphouse next-door that had outdoor seating so we grabbed a drink and ate our food there. The portions were large and everything was absolutely delicious! “Me and my family have been coming here for over a year now and it's absolutely fantastic every time. Every dish is made to order and so so fresh. We typically stick to the rice bowl options but we've tried a few other things and never been disappointed. Their egg drop soup and seaweed salad are amazing appetizers as well, and all the food comes out so fast. The owner and employees always recognize us and greet us with the biggest smile and best service. We modify our bowls to exactly how we like them (encouraged by the owner!!) and the prices are very reasonable, with only a $1 upcharge for some modifications. Plenty of meat in the bowls as well, you will never leave hungry, even if you only ate the meat with no veggies or rice. Overall, amazing customer service and some of the best chinese I've had.“

Pad Woon Sen, (2nd time), very bland with an abundance of veggies but mostly onions & carrots, not a lot of noodles ☹ & very, very dry.
They put curry in the crab rangoon so we did not order any. 😿“

The selection is awesome, it’s so clean, the quality is sooo good, and the owner (I’m assuming guy who is always there is owner) is a delight!!! “My wife and I came to the Ellenton area on our honeymoon. Her local family reccomended we check out Woodys River Roo. It was our first stop and the only repeat stop during our week down here. We went to "The Roo" on three separate occasions and loved each one. The food was great, the view of the manatee river was very nice, but the friendly hardworking staff was the cherry on top. They all really seemed to love each other and worked together like a well oiled machine. They made us feel right at home and made sure everything was just right. Bar tender Johnny, who I belive said had been employed there for 15 years, reccomended a lot of other great places to drink and dine in the area. They also have a gift shop and live entertainment from, music to trivia 7 days a week! 10 out of 10 would reccomend. My wife and I hope to be back sooner than later!“
