“My wife and I visited Oyster River Rooftop for Valentine’s Day, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is located at the Marriott Hotel & Spa in Palmetto, which really impressed me. The hotel itself is beautiful — easily one of the nicest properties in the area. I also appreciated the added touch of checking in with staff before heading upstairs, since a badge is required to access the upper floors. It definitely gives the space a more exclusive feel.

The restaurant is small and modern — more of an upscale rooftop bar atmosphere that also serves dinner. We were seated outside and enjoyed a wonderful view of the river, which made for a great Valentine’s setting. There was a duet playing live music, which added energy to the evening, though in a smaller space with minimal sound-absorbing decor it felt a little loud at times.

The hostess was very nice and welcoming. I had to smile when she gave “Monsieur” her best shot — I work for a French-based company and speak a little French myself, so I notice those things — but I appreciated the effort to create an upscale ambiance.

Our server was congenial and accommodating. He happily made me a Sangria even though it wasn’t on the drink menu, which I appreciated. His personality leaned more casual than what the restaurant seems to be aiming for, but his friendliness was genuine and well-intentioned.

For food, we started with the Grilled Octopus. It was very tender, though I would have loved a bit more bold flavor. The main courses, however, were outstanding. I had the 16 oz Ribeye with Za’atar butter — cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was equally excellent. We skipped dessert as nothing quite jumped out at us, but we left very satisfied with the meal.

All in all, it was a lovely evening with excellent food and a beautiful setting. With a little refinement in front-of-house polish to match the quality coming out of the kitchen, this place could truly hit the high notes. We would absolutely return — especially for the ribeye and the view.“

“Getting in late, went thru drive thru. The only thing is we tried to order the apple empanadas, and were told they discontinued them. But a friend got them just last week. So if you're just out of stock why lie??

“Went twice last week while on vacation. Our first order was awesome, generous portions and food was excellent. Our second time ordering, we went to pick-up and waited while other people received their orders who came in after us. After seeing this, we asked again about our order and it was left sitting in the back for about 15 min. Gave it to us, with no other exchange. Buns were soggy and chips a bit over-done, which was a bit of a bummer.“

“The food and service did not disappoint. My wife had the mahi tuna salad. It was excellent and crunchy as described on the menu I had scallops. They were perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was very good. Everything arrived timely hot, and the waiter did not hover have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and this is one of the better onesnot exceptionally expensive and in a mall but quite good food and service and I highly recommend.“

“Hubby had the cod, ff and coleslaw. The cod was perfectly breaded very lightly, the french fries yummy and we never got to the coleslaw (taking home leftovers). I had the shrimp scampi fettuccine, in butter sauce – Yum! The bread with the oil dip was wonderful. “I ordered pickup for my first time today and the food did not disappoint. It was seasoned very well, and you receive a nice sized portion with great selections to choose from. My only issue is that on the website there are no calories listed for the menu items. I would love to know how much I’m consuming without having to weigh out each section of the meal myself. Otherwise great pickup service and I will be ordering again.“

“We were staying at the SpringHill Suites in Bradenton, the Oak and Stone is a restaurant on the first floor. It has good bar food and lots of different beers. You can serve yourself beer from a large number of Taps on the wall where you pay by the ounce. When crowded it gets very noisy. Seems to attract tourists and Young Folks and groups. Well worth the stop to see if it fits your style.“

“I’ve been here so many times I’ve honestly lost count. This is quite literally the best quick serve Chinese restaurant in the area. Their General TSO chicken is amazing and so is their sushi. What really sets this place apart from the rest is the freshness and quality of the chicken they use. The chicken pieces are huge and you can tell it’s totally fresh and not frozen. If you frequently do take out Chinese food and haven’t tried this place then you’re in for a treat. Just about every other take out Chinese restaurant seems to use the same type of chicken - excess breading, small pieces, rock hard crunchiness, etc. The Rice Bowl is truly a breath of fresh air - it’s always fantastic well cooked and you always get a full piece of chicken. Just the right amount of breading and you never feel like you’re biting into a solid piece of breading. Keep up the good work and don’t change a thing! :-)“

“What a great place. My wife and I were visiting from the UK and found this gem of a restaurant. Ate there a few times. The food is outstanding; fish is really fresh and cooked to perfection. Saw someone having a steak?? Why have beef in a seafood restaurant ? Favourite restaurant of our trip.“

“First visit late February 2026. Stopped in just after 1:00 p.m. on a Saturday and found plenty of tables available. There were at least four or five tables full of guests. Service was quick. I ordered Thai Basil with beef and it came with coconut soup and a fried egg roll.“

“I recently visited Wicked Awesome Ice Cream in Lander and had a really positive experience overall. The space itself is charming — I loved the dedicated toy area for kids and the soft jazz/classical music playing in the background made it feel upscale yet comfortable. The staff were friendly and the flavors were imaginative and well-done; you can tell they put care into what they’re serving.

My only caveat is that I felt the price was a bit high for the quantity of ice cream I received. It didn’t quite match my expectations in terms of portion size for the cost. If that were a little more generous I would absolutely rate it a full five stars.

In sum: a fun, unique ice-cream outing — great ambiance and service — just slightly pricey for the amount served. I’d happily go back, especially if they decide to bump up the portion a touch.“

“I drive all the way to this place from Ellenton, I go to the gym next door so it’s a bit of a destination spot but it is what I have been doing for years now.. although recently I have only been coming during the week days when Cannon is working and I will touch on why.

This place has come a long way, the new owners are really making the place feel more welcoming and like a place to hangout and get some work down or after a workout instead of a kick in and out.. the store is warm and inviting, great music always playing and they’re starting to carry better and better product. I really really enjoy the new vibe and Cannon the day time employee, soo much so I won’t come after he’s not working because the smoothies and the employees just dont have the same personality and electric energy as Cannon who remembers me, my order, even learned to swap in my chia seed and milk substitute after my first order.. he’s soo friendly and sweet it feels wrong if he isn’t there during my now (admittedly) daily ritual the shakes just come out wrong entirely or watery. He’s super honest and personable, prideful in his work.. I can’t ever tell if he’s flirting or if he’s just this intimate personable surf dude who’s high on life but he’s always happy to see me, I genuinely appreciate his talks he’s very very well educated and prevents any extra fruit syrups or fad like products he thinks sketchy or useless going into my drink and helped me with my diet upon finding out I was going fully vegan. I popped in this Saturday on a whim and it just wasn’t the same, my smoothie came out watery, the vibe was off, I think they used non vegan, and the place seemed much more stern and lacked his charm, music taste, and presence speaking to customers like family and doing it all with ease. I would love to change to five out of five but the weekend crew and night just isn’t the same, 5 stars for Cannon’s alchemy alone! I’ll be back to get my shake always and my daily philosophical chat and pick me up.“
