“I visited Oldays Coffee and had a great experience. Over the course of my meal, I enjoyed two americanos. The coffee was smooth, balanced, and carried a subtle brightness. There was a touch of citrus on the front and a cocoa-like finish that lingered just long enough. It’s the kind of cup that rewards you for paying attention.

For food, I ordered scrambled eggs with gluten-free toast and house potatoes. The eggs were light and satisfying, the toast sturdy enough to do its job, and the potatoes offered a crisp edge with a soft interior. Classic breakfast done well.

Since I was extra hungry (light dinner the night before, more room for wine), I also added the super greens with lemon vinaigrette. The citrus gave it a bright lift, but it was the mint that surprised me—cutting through with a refreshing punch that kept each bite lively. That detail elevated the salad from simple to memorable.

I sat outside on the covered patio, the only guest in that space. It was quiet, calm, and toward the end of my meal, the rain began. I lingered rather than rushing off, and it turned out to be a lovely place to wait out the weather.

The service tied it all together. Ignacio, my server, was attentive without being intrusive. He never made me feel rushed, even though I was dining solo outside.

Between the carefully prepared coffee, the refreshing salad, the peaceful setting, and warm service, Oldays Coffee delivered far more than just a good breakfast. It was an experience worth repeating.“

“Stopping off at Maggie’s feels like going home. The owners and staff are all so welcoming, and they even take the time to remember your name. Often they will stop off by the cafe tables to check on us, and unobtrusively catch up with what’s going on in our lives. They have worked hard to create an atmosphere that’s cheery and roomy, yet cozy. Definitely try the Lasagna layer cake. Layers of raspberry and cream that melt in your mouth. OMG! They are serious about their coffee and it’s the best around; smooth and robust, unlike the bitter or over powering coffee at other area coffee shops. In addition to the pastries they also serve a variety of sandwiches. The pulled pork is my favorite. It’s popular amongst remote workers. I believe they also do catering for special events. You owe it to yourself to stop in and experience it for yourself. The flavor tasted a bit off, not much like pumpkin or pumpkin pie…and it felt light on the coffee. Might just be a personal preference, but I’d probably stick to other drinks next time.“

“Super impressed! Not many coffee shops know the true definition of a Machiato. It is espresso with a touch of milk (unlike what Starbucks would have you believe). I placed my order online so I could pick it up on my way to work, it was my first time visiting. The gentleman baristo was super thoughtful and made the espresso shots but wanted to confirm my order when I arrived. It came out perfect 👌 Will be back.“

“I stumbled upon this Italian coffee shop and it was such a gem. You can tell it’s a spot that’s loved in town, regulars were greeted by name, and the owner made everyone feel welcome. He mentioned he’s been doing this for 27 years, and you can really feel the passion in the atmosphere. The cappuccino I had was perfect, rich, smooth, and not too strong. “It was a lovely first time visit. I am in the neighborhood and walk by it often, but this was the first time to actually go in. I would LOVE to give it five stars and it was ALMOST there. I had the dark care mocha latte and it was smooth as proverbial silk. EXCELLENT COFFEE. It would have been perfect except I think I certainly ordered the wrong thing. I see people commenting on how good the pastries were. I am not a sweet person ordinarily, I like savory things. I ordered the chicken empanadas: MISTAKE. Now, I love empanadas. I have had them from Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Ecuador. Sometimes they are spicy and sometimes a bit sweet (with onions and raisins) I like them all. This empanada was really bad. I am not joking. I cannot remember having a bad empanada. What as wrong: the dough was SO THICK. If you ever eat a real empanada, the dough is kind of thin and the filling full. This was all dough and so so thick that it was gummy and just all dough. The filling was meager and dry. Instead of juicy it was dried out chicken with no flavoring or sauce, just a slight taste of curry. The entire empanada was left on the plate after one bite. I love this adorable neighborhood place and I will be back. I am really not an injustice collector. I really wanted to be able to say five stars, instead of four or four and a half. As I said the atmosphere, service and coffee were top rate, but whoever made those empanadas should really find out how to make them. I will trust the other people who posted reviews and order one of the pastries next time. Sorry, but I really loved the time I spent here, but disappointed that the whole empanada was left on the plate. I am sure the pastries are a lot better.“

I was able to get a delicious breakfast with an excellent cup of coffee for under $20 bucks. I had the Monte Cristo and opted for the side salad instead of potatoes. It was savory and a good size.
