“Stopping off at Maggie’s feels like going home. The owners and staff are all so welcoming, and they even take the time to remember your name. Often they will stop off by the cafe tables to check on us, and unobtrusively catch up with what’s going on in our lives. They have worked hard to create an atmosphere that’s cheery and roomy, yet cozy. Definitely try the Lasagna layer cake. Layers of raspberry and cream that melt in your mouth. OMG! They are serious about their coffee and it’s the best around; smooth and robust, unlike the bitter or over powering coffee at other area coffee shops. In addition to the pastries they also serve a variety of sandwiches. The pulled pork is my favorite. It’s popular amongst remote workers. I believe they also do catering for special events. You owe it to yourself to stop in and experience it for yourself. Having said all this, I feel a little protective and hope it maintains the neighborly feel even as more folks discover this gem. 😎 Jerry Hammond“

The atmosphere is great, and the food is even better and affordable, everything is cooked freshly, and with the flexibility adjustments to your palates. Try the cod fish, it’s delicious!

“I had a wonderful experience here. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a good coffee. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the drinks.

The coffee, the Brown Sugar Latte, and the chai are without a doubt some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was prepared perfectly, and you can really tell that care goes into every drink. This will definitely become one of my favorite coffee spots.

I especially want to recognize Hary for her outstanding service. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. She made me feel genuinely welcome, paid attention to every detail, and made sure everything was perfect. Her warm attitude and excellent customer service truly made the experience memorable. The owner even explained quality ingredients, how to make it at home and report back, though quite sure it won't taste this good. Excellent wines. Try any of their specials (the Norma) but also the lasagna Bolognese - the owners' regional specialty - or the Vongole, pizzas. And desserts - panna cottas and tiramisu. All made fresh 🙏“

I was staying nearby and accidentally stumbled upon Parlor Doughnuts. Let me just say… this wasn’t a stop. It was a spiritual awakening.

If you’ve never had a cake doughnut, prepare yourself. These aren’t the sad little doughnuts sitting in a gas station display case. These are fluffy, buttery, crispy-on-the-outside, melt-in-your-mouth masterpieces. One bite and I seriously considered extending my vacation just to come back the next morning.

Pro tip: Get there EARLY! They close at 3 PM, and the best flavors disappear faster than free pizza in an office break room. If you show up late, don’t blame the doughnut gods.
