“Stopping off at Maggie’s feels like going home. The owners and staff are all so welcoming, and they even take the time to remember your name. Often they will stop off by the cafe tables to check on us, and unobtrusively catch up with what’s going on in our lives. They have worked hard to create an atmosphere that’s cheery and roomy, yet cozy. Definitely try the Lasagna layer cake. Layers of raspberry and cream that melt in your mouth. OMG! They are serious about their coffee and it’s the best around; smooth and robust, unlike the bitter or over powering coffee at other area coffee shops. In addition to the pastries they also serve a variety of sandwiches. The pulled pork is my favorite. It’s popular amongst remote workers. I believe they also do catering for special events. You owe it to yourself to stop in and experience it for yourself. Having said all this, I feel a little protective and hope it maintains the neighborly feel even as more folks discover this gem. 😎 Jerry Hammond“

“We have been coming here almost every day in the past 5-6 months. It feels like stepping into little Italy for a few hours. The atmosphere is great, and the food is even better and affordable, everything is cooked freshly, and with the flexibility adjustments to your palates. Try the cod fish, it’s delicious!

“I recently hosted my twin boys’ first birthday and baptism celebration at Emily’s Garden in Fort Lauderdale, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The space is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and personality, and perfect for a special occasion.
I rented out the entire outdoor area, and the team went above and beyond to set everything up exactly how I envisioned. They were so accommodating and really paid attention to the details that mattered to me.
The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and made the whole process feel easy and seamless from start to finish. All of my guests had a great time and couldn’t stop complimenting the venue.
The food was delicious, and the space itself is very kid-friendly, which made it perfect for our celebration. I’m so grateful for such a memorable experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to host a special event!“

My son found this recently opened peace of heaven a couple weeks ago and we've been stopping in about 2-3 times a week. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere comfy and charming. “If this place was not conveniently located across the street from my workplace, I probably would not know that they exist. This is knock-off version of Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. Today the bread on my Tuscan roll was cotton dry and hard as a roc. I was shocked cause they usually do a great job or heating it up and handing my sandwich in the aluminum pouch. My favourite item from menu is the hot chocolate. I LOVEE my hot chocolate!!“

“I like this place! It’s a cute spot to go for a casual coffee and pastry/ lunch. I take my infant son with me to have our mommy-son lunch dates. The cafe has a good variety of foods and drinks; everything delicious. The only thing I would mention is that the cafe does have 2 high chairs, but neither of them have an appropriate seatbelt. The clasp is the same, not the opposite, to securely strap my infant into the seat. We managed, but he was extra wiggly and was moving all around in the high chair. It was difficult to feed him because he didn’t have the proper support to eat well. I would suggest fixing the seatbelts on both the high chairs. :)“

“I stumbled upon this Italian coffee shop and it was such a gem. You can tell it’s a spot that’s loved in town, regulars were greeted by name, and the owner made everyone feel welcome. He mentioned he’s been doing this for 27 years, and you can really feel the passion in the atmosphere. The cappuccino I had was perfect, rich, smooth, and not too strong. For only $5, it was absolutely worth it. The place has a warm, inviting vibe, with friendly people that make you feel at home. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area!“

“It was a lovely first time visit. I am in the neighborhood and walk by it often, but this was the first time to actually go in. I would LOVE to give it five stars and it was ALMOST there. The atmosphere is lovely: clean a few nice outdoor tables both in the sun and in the shade. The staff was beyond nice: friendly warm and helpful. The prices were fair. AND THE COFFEE WAS WONDERFUL. I had the dark care mocha latte and it was smooth as proverbial silk. EXCELLENT COFFEE. It would have been perfect except I think I certainly ordered the wrong thing. I see people commenting on how good the pastries were. I am not a sweet person ordinarily, I like savory things. I ordered the chicken empanadas: MISTAKE. Now, I love empanadas. I have had them from Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Ecuador. Sometimes they are spicy and sometimes a bit sweet (with onions and raisins) I like them all. This empanada was really bad. I am not joking. I cannot remember having a bad empanada. What as wrong: the dough was SO THICK. If you ever eat a real empanada, the dough is kind of thin and the filling full. This was all dough and so so thick that it was gummy and just all dough. The filling was meager and dry. Instead of juicy it was dried out chicken with no flavoring or sauce, just a slight taste of curry. The entire empanada was left on the plate after one bite. I love this adorable neighborhood place and I will be back. I am really not an injustice collector. I really wanted to be able to say five stars, instead of four or four and a half. As I said the atmosphere, service and coffee were top rate, but whoever made those empanadas should really find out how to make them. I will trust the other people who posted reviews and order one of the pastries next time. Sorry, but I really loved the time I spent here, but disappointed that the whole empanada was left on the plate. I am sure the pastries are a lot better.“
