“I grew up in Miami Alapada. I have been eating here since I moved to Ocala 20 years ago. Definitely the closest you are going to get to what I would consider home. In nort central Fl.
The owner is awesome. But sometimes you get some young new blood as the cashier that's less then friendly. But hey that's life. Overall great food, good environment. Been going there for 18 of the 20 years I've been here. It's for good reason . Most small restaurants open and close. This one has withstood the test of time.“

“we stopped in today for Cuban coffee and split a slice of guava cheesecake. The portions are large enough to share that you don't feel cheated. it is so good! Next time we are out this way we will stop in for lunch. The food is fresh and authentic and the staff is friendly.“

“Yo fui a probarlas, porque se q el paladar de todos son diferentes y ya me a pasado con varias personas q venden pizza cubana y cuando las pruebo nada que ver. Pero en esta ocasión fue diferente, les recomiendo 100% estas pizzas, ordené un batido de Manney, una pizza y tamal, riquísimo todo, el tamal estaba llenito de carne, el batido en su punto y la pizza me llevó a recuerdos cuando estaba en Cuba, salí desde el 95 y era muy difícil aquí encontrar alguien q hiciera pizza como las de allá. Gracias infinitas. No se van a arrepentir cuando las prueben y precio lo vi super bien. Y lo más importante puedes ver cuanto cuesta todo, no te llevaras una sorpresa con el precio. “Food was great as usual but service was the best I’ve received in as long as I can remember. Jocelyn was an amazing server, attentive, respectful, kind and great sense of humor. I was never lacking for an ice cold Budweiser and I drink them quick. 10/10 for food and 10/10 for service.“

“We had our son's graduation party there last night. We reserved the front room from 6-7:45 and unfortunately we ran 30 minutes behind. We called them to let them know we were running late and they said just come anyway and we will make it happen. They did just that, they made it happen! Our server Matthew was great! There were 24 of us and he was on top of everything. All of our food rolled out at the same time so we were all eating together. The food was excellent as always! We pushed it right to 7:45 and then we were able to move into the dining room area in a corner so we could finish celebrating with the cake that we brought. I can't say enough about Matthew and the rest of the staff, they all were fantastic!“

From memory of a previous visit, I knew that I would be welcomed warmly and treated like royalty as my friend and I enjoyed real home cooked Cuban-Puerto Rican food. Whatever name you want to attach…THE TASTE IS AWESOME!! The Tripleta sandwich with yucca fries on the side was SO tasty.I took home an order of mufongo with onions and steak/onions….I put it in my air fryer for dinner and poured the mojo that accompanied it on just after reheating. Exquisite❤️What a labor of love these restauranteurs provide!“
