This is a nice small bar in lack Baldwin! They have nice atmosphere, the service is good, and they have good options of drinks including a rich wine menu. You can order food from the place next door (Mediterranean cuisine) as they are both under the same owner
My boyfriend and I wandered into this bar while waiting for our table next door at sieto. it was homey with good people, the bartenders were helpful and friendly and it was one of the nicest part of our evening.
A/C must have been broken because the front door was propped open, in August. I ordered a canned beer and was never offered a glass. Their website (Facebook page) shows the full menu from Meza, the restaurant next door, so was disappointed to only get a subset of that menu, more bar food than an upscale menu. The bartender/server was attentive to our large group of approximately 12 people; a full 20% gratuity was already added to each check.

Cork & Plate is a cozy bar located in the Baldwin Park neighborhood. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. While the menu is a subset of Meza's offerings, it still provides tasty bar food options. The bar itself has a fun dive bar vibe, with electronic darts boards and table games available. However, the bar can feel a bit confused in its identity, straddling the line between a dive bar and a wine bar. Suggestions for improvement include streamlining the drink menu, offering late-night appetizers, and embracing the dive bar aesthetic more fully. Despite some shortcomings, Cork & Plate is a good spot for groups or a casual post-dinner drink.
