For value while being at Universal, this one is like most of the other quick service resturants at Universal for being a extremely long wait for fast food.The Chicken Tender combo with milkshake is just a Big Zax Snack from Zaxbys but a $10 upcharge and a small shake addon. I went to this diner dyring the Spring Break which is a factor, but waiting for 45 minutes is unjustified.If the waiting for food wasn't so long and the prices came down, this would of been a easy 4 stars.Parking:...read full review

The atmosphere felt just like the 50's or 60's and I very much enjoyed that. The food was almost instantaneously ready and it was fresh and amazingly good, and they also got it right. The milkshakes were also good.

First time trying it since it reopened. I am very impressed! We had an excellent visit. Greeted by a very happy friendly hostess that showed us to the line. Cashier was pleasant. We ordered the breaded chicken sandwich and it’s a huge hit. I’m from New York and I really miss NY deli chicken cutlet sandwiches. Most everything here in Florida are chicken tenders and of poor taste and quality….but not so with Mel’s. It was just like a NY deli chicken cutlet bursting...read full review
