“10/10! The Berkwood St Louis Sticky Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavorful that we found ourselves talking about them for days. The Hamachi Carpaccio was another standout, with the ponzu sauce and kefir lime oil perfectly complementing the yellowtail. We also enjoyed the Garlic Togarashi Edamame and Shrimp Tempura. I loved the Bee My Honey cocktail—it had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. My fiancé ordered the Kabooki Old Fashioned and liked the mix of ginger syrup and cherry bark vanilla bitters.

The restaurant itself has a contemporary vibe, with low lighting and an intimate atmosphere. The service was great, and we’ll definitely be returning.“

“Husband and I were visiting Orlando for the first time and came across Maxine's on Shine. It is such an absolutely incredible charming restaurant! The food was outstanding, with generous and delicious portions, great prices, lots of options and vegan options and drinks but above all -- the hospitality was exceptional! From the greeting from the hostess, discussion with the bartender to the server, busser and owners, they all truly made us feel like a local to the city and appreciative of our business. You really can see the passion from Kirt and Maxine (owners) as it really shines through in every detail in their food, decor and ambiance of the restaurant and you can see that same passion in their staff! My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night and had such a wonderful experience that we simply had to go back on Sunday for the brunch before leaving town. Truly an AMAZING experience and such wonderful people! 100 STARS!!!“

“My husband found this gem online and figured we’d enjoy it since we are fans of shareable and tapas style dishes. Brendan (sp?) was our server. He was kind and attentive. The food options were healthy, fun, and creative. I especially enjoyed the dumplings and my husband devoured his mochi Wangz. We also tried Mr. Rice Guy which didn’t quite give the oomph we were looking forward to. Drunken Belly was pretty decent (a few pieces were a tad too fatty to fully enjoy). We’d 100% go back for the atmosphere and aesthetics alone. Service was phenomenal and the vibes were super chill.“

And the star of the show besides the great cooks was Pen! She was so awesome and sensor from her greeting at the door to her interactions with my two daughters. “We’ve dined at both Kabooki locations, and they’re equally incredible! This place has everything you want in a night out—a stylish, lounge-like vibe; creative, delicious cocktails; mind-blowing food; and friendly, attentive staff. The oysters are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had; the moriawase sashimi and nigiri are unbelievably fresh and a flavor journey we didn’t think could be topped…until the ghost roll arrived and blew us away. Each bite was divine—this is a stop-and-savor experience. Every 5-star review is well-deserved. Kabooki is consistently outstanding and our top choice for sushi, without question.“

“? Ambience, Service, and Food - Wonderful! ?

I decided to grab dinner here prior to attending an event at the Dr. Phillips Center about ten minutes away. There was a 15-20 minute wait before I was notified that my table was ready. The interior is small and intimate with a lovely ambience. Staff were all very friendly and answered all my questions. The food tasted wonderful, and the gyoza was among the best I’ve ever had. If you plan on eating here for dinner on the weekend, I recommend giving yourself plenty of buffer time—both for parking and service.

Did I mention the desserts? I got one of each (mochi and hojicha panda cotta) and both were scrape-up-every-bite good!“

“We already love Shin Jung, but, sadly, we aren’t there as often as I’d like. The food is fantastic, atmosphere is casual but comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. I had the Dolsot Bibimbab served in a steaming, sizzling hot pot—beef, mushrooms, sprouts, cucumbers and shredded g carrots and radish. It was delicious on its own but adding the table sauces made it sing. Along with entrees comes a variety of Korean sides as is typical for this cuisine. It included, fish cakes, potato salad, paper thin sliced pickled radish and three Kimchi preparations—classic cabbage, as well as cubes of cucumber and radish. If the food wasn’t enough, our server, Julianna, made our lunch all the more pleasurable with her sweet demeanor and friendly nature. And it wasn’t just us. We watched how she served other diners with the same affable, yet professional treatment. Remember when I said we don’t get there very often? Well, when we walked in, Julianna (without knowing us at all) greeted us like we were regulars coming in for the hundredth time. “Went here several times with and without our dog. Came here recently during hurricane Milton and had to bring our dog and this place sat us with no questions unlike other places in the area. Our dog is small and quiet and while other places in the hotel wouldn't allow us in Jake's did. I understand laws but but at times like these there are exceptions.
