“We had an amazing time at Keg Social Orlando celebrating a birthday! We enjoyed bowling, axe throwing, and the arcade, which provided hours of fun. The venue offers something for everyone, regardless of age—our group ranged from 11 to 41 years old, and everyone had a blast. The food and drinks from the bar were fresh and delicious, and the DJ kept the party atmosphere lively. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable outing for all ages!“

“Strong water tavern and our server Maggie was absolutely amazing! She made my birthday feel so special. My 5 year old left his favorite stuffed animal at home and she brought him a wolverine. Talk about going above and beyond. We will definitely come back during our stay and will make sure to return anytime we’re here on vacation. Food was amazing! “Though The Muddy Root’s menu is already hard to beat, the real magic lies in the staff here. It doesn’t matter what day you come in; you’ll always be met by someone warm, welcoming, and ready to explain anything you’d like to know about their WIDE variety of menu items. If you’re not a kava or kratom person, this cafe offers a coffee and tea menu that’s highly customizable. Whatever you’re looking for- something sweet, something strong, something refreshing- the kavatenders (their “bartenders”) will always know how to make it happen. Even when my drink doesn’t taste right the first time (which rarely happens), the staff is beyond happy to add or substitute anything so that it’s just what I want. A literal 2-minute drive from UCF (and right between two major UCF apartments), this is an amazing study spot. Plenty of outlets and a variety of seating, plus free WiFi (after ordering). Plenty of students, professionals, and hobbyists work here, so it’s a productive environment. If you’re looking for a more social atmosphere, they also host social events all throughout the month, from trivia and AYCD kava nights to karaoke and even nature hikes! If I could rate The Muddy Root on a scale of 1 to 10, I’d give them an 11. A definite must-try!“

“This place is a blast. Eat before/after, or bring your food and chill at a Hightop. A cousin in town recently told me about a similar establishment in Columbus, OH and I wanted to check one out. She found Pups Pub with a quick google search and off we went. Entry was painless and simple. Reassurances that canine patrons are vaccinated and spayed/neutered are very clear. Happy hour is more than fair. They have games on site, a really great indoor and outdoor seating areas, lots for the pups to do and they all seem to know eachother and get along great. I came without any animals and was warmly welcomed by everyone on 2 or 4 legs. I honestly had the time of my life just playing with everyone’s dogs and could have stayed there all night.“

“We don’t venture downtown Orlando much these days. Unfortunately, the city leaders have been slowly destroying what was my late night home in college. But we happened to be down there for a concert at the Dr Phillips center and had a chance to check Nuri’s out finally!

Vibe was so great. You can see the thoughtful design all throughout the restaurant. We loved the quirky setting and the food was just as good.

Authentic bar pies are not something common in Orlando yet here we are. We enjoyed the cracker crust and balance of cheese and sauce.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the hostess, who promptly seated us at a cozy table that perfectly set the tone for the evening. They made sure our glasses were never empty and checked in just the right amount to ensure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. For the main course, we chose the Chicken Parmesan, which was cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy chicken inside. The pasta was al dente, and the meat sauce was rich and savory. It was really enough for two people to share. “I was looking for live music and loved my night at Howl at the Moon Orlando! The dueling pianos were a blast—nonstop energy, and they played many of my favorite songs and a few new ones. “The Other Bar is a downtown Orlando staple located on Wall Street, surrounded by a cluster of other bars. The name isn’t just clever—it’s called The Other Bar because it’s the only bar on that stretch owned by a different owner, which already gives it a bit of its own identity.

This place is very much a local favorite, and for good reason. I’m a fan of the complimentary popcorn (simple pleasures matter), and while the bathrooms might look a little scary at first glance, they’re generally clean—which honestly puts them ahead of many dive bars downtown that barely qualify as functional.

The space itself is bigger than it initially appears, almost deceiving when you first walk in. Over the years, the interior has seen steady upgrades, and it shows. The stage is well lit, and every Monday I frequent their open mic—an event that’s been running for decades and continues to be a cornerstone of the local comedy scene.

There’s also an outdoor patio and bar area, which adds a nice option when the weather cooperates. One moment that really stood out to me was Thanksgiving, when they hosted a Friendsgiving and fed all the comedians who regularly perform there. It was genuinely generous and speaks volumes about how much this place values its community.

All around, The Other Bar feels familiar in the best way—a reliable, welcoming spot that supports local talent and keeps evolving without losing its soul. It’s a place I return to often and one I’m glad still exists downtown.“
