“They went above and beyond. I was dining while waiting for a car service to be complete next door. After leaving Chili’s and going to pick up my vehicle, I found that I would be forced to wait another hour! I went back to Chili’s to wait and they refilled my beverage from earlier!! They didn’t not have to do this… I would have gladly purchased another drink.This type of service is unheard of nowadays. 5 stars because I can’t vote 6 stars.“

I give them something like a five for nice elevated dining with delicious fancy foods and impressive, exemplary hospitality on a level you don't see often enough anymore, in a beautifully curated arty modern space. I don't mind throwing good money down on food and an experience worthy of it and 1921 delivered, mostly. Was looking forward to the deviled duck eggs as shown on the online "example" menu but they didn't have them on the day. Shoot. And while I realize this is supposed to be an experience, we waited well over an hour for our mains to come out, long after starters and cocktails ran out, and I was about done, restless, and feeling full. So, whatever was special with the mains was sort of lost; at least on me. Our bill was also messed up, they double charged us, and took even more time still, to fix.“
“I've been coming to this launch spot since my childhood in the '70s, and it's always been a go-to for locals looking to paddle or just chill. Over the years, it's changed a lot, but it remains a fantastic place to start your canoe or kayak adventure on the Wekiva River. It’s also a perfect spot to just hang out and soak in the natural vibe.“
“I want to start off by saying that I walked into this restaurant 30 minutes before it closed. I know that I was the jerk in this situation. I had a bad day at work and really wanted to try raw oysters for the first time. The staff at Hook & Reel were so accommodating. The staff didn't make it feel like they were closing for one second. The customer service from my server, whose name was Drina (sorry, I dont know the spelling), was out of this world. The guest service that I received was classic Disney quality. The attention and experience we received were exemplary. It is hard to believe that I enjoyed myself this much when I walked in to a return 30 mins before we closed. Even if you don't like sea food, eat here, have fun, and enjoy the experience of what prioritizing customer service looks like.“

Charlie is the Michelin star chef of the dive bar world and Kat will make you a cocktail meaner than her bite. “Hidden gem! Located upstairs at Mt Dora Marketplace Building 1, this cocktail lounge has a classy lounge ambiance. The knowledge and execution of their cocktail drinks are on point…perfect balance is achieved. All the bartenders are knowledgeable. The owner, Dakota, cares about mixology and it shows. I can’t wait to come back here.“
“The food was great and the service excellent. I had the bangers and mash with the onion gravy...highly recommended! Hubs had the steak and mushroom pie and he said it was good. The only two downsides of the place was the broken clutter laying around and the very dim lighting in the ladies room. We will definitely return next time we are in town. Hopefully they will have the pear cider by then!“

“The atmosphere really transports you to an island , even if you’ve never been here before you feel the Caribbean experience , the music had us dancing all night and the food was amazing , things I had never tried before , especially the wings it’s definitely a spot to have a nice vibe with friends or family after work or even on the weekends… definitely will be back.“
“The pizza we ordered was so good and the staff was super friendly even though our waitress doubled as the bartender since we were seated in the bar area. She was awesome! The manager had to come over since the cook misread our pizza order and treated us with cocktails. It was one pie that was halved with different menu specials... but no worries, we were fine. It was all so delicious. We really enjoyed our first time in Mt. Dora.“
“I’ve been going here for years since 2012 and I must say it’s the best place in town the owners are very humble and make sure you feel very welcomed and comfortable. Since my wife and I moved to Tennessee we come back to visit fl and always stop to see our cheers family. Hands down 10 out of 10 if u havent been your missing out!“

“What a nice place! We come to Mount Dora a few times a year to relax and enjoy the lake… We are always looking for new spots and this is going to be one of our favorites from now on! “First time visiting Wekiva Island decided to go to see their Christmas decorations. Great decorations and ambiance. This place is amazing especially in the summer time to grab a drink from the bar and sit next to the lake. They have a bar and a food truck with a lot of options. You can also rent a canoe or a kayaks an enjoy a day in the water. If you have your own you, they have some spots on the side to park your own canoe or kayak. Great place for families and kids. Parking is big but since it gets full so is better to come early.“

“It's an alright spot for that side of town. It's pretty out dated but it's not terrible and the staff is very nice! Good spot If you want a low key hang out spot and play some pool and have a few drinks without having a crowd.“
“I love divey kind of bars. I love to see a band, play pool and friendly bartenders are a must. I stopped into this bar prior to going to emerald cut Park and although I wasn't able to see a band, they had a great stage in the back outside that looked like it would be just an incredible place to see a show. And unfortunately the day I was leaving to come back home to New York they had a classic rock/ Southern rock band. Wish I could have stayed an extra day. So next time I go to Florida that's a for sure place. I'm going to stop at and spend a day or two“
