“If you’re lucky enough to have Jay as your server, congratulations - you’ve already won dinner before the food even arrives.

We came to F&D Steakhouse for a work dinner expecting a great meal, but Jay turned it into an experience I will remember. He was attentive without hovering, genuinely funny without trying too hard, and somehow knew exactly when to check on us. We even got to learn a little about him, which made the evening feel personal instead of just another night out.

The food was outstanding (compliments to the kitchen!), but Jay was the highlight of the night. He has that rare ability to make every table feel like they’re his favorite guests. By the end of the evening, it felt less like we’d been served by a waiter and more like we’d spent dinner with an old friend who just happened to know the menu inside and out.

Jay, thanks for making our work dinner one we’ll actually remember for all the right reasons. We’ll definitely be back, and next time I’m requesting “Jay’s section” before I even look at the menu!

“This was my second time trying ramen, and it was delicious! I had the Tonkotsu Ramen Black, without the hot sauce and it was amazing. Perfect ratio of broth to toppings. We had a variety of appetizers to start: pork gyoza, spicy shrimp tempura, edamame, and curry rice croquettes. Sorry no photos, they were too delicious to stop for a photo. They disappeared quite quickly. Yum! Arianna was super knowledgeable and friendly and guided these newbies through the Ramen choices.“

“Highly recommend for family gatherings! We just had our Baby Shower in their event space & we had an amazing time. All the staff was super friendly, very accommodating and easy to work with & book. The kids present were very happy to feed the gators, visit the parrots, and pretty much wander around in between the games. “This is a very fun place. The beers and drinks are literally half price than every bar in downtown Sanford. Thus the reason they are always busy and fun. They have touchtunes, a DJ, karaoke on Wednesday, Poker tournaments... and this list goes on. I always end up here as this has become my go-to. The food is a step above dive-bar bar food.“

“Tim and Eds’ Park Dive is the local place! Clean and friendly, “dive” is definitely tongue in cheek. Small without being cramped, you are immediately welcomed in like a friend and neighbor. There is a well-tended outside area with plenty of seating and occasional events. Prices are great but eat before you get here ‘cause there is no food. There is a nice selection of domestic a local craft beers and wines (but no liquor). Sports on tv and video games are there for entertainment, but conversation runs easy here and it’s a relaxing time.“

During the week, they offer an interesting line-up of different events; from beginner partner dance lessons, a D.J.’s Music, “Ladies Night”, and more live music on certain days of the month. “All 3 of us had blackened. Mahi tacos with sides of house salad or black bean soup. And 2 split chocolate desert. We all agreed food was very tasty and well presented. One had a pineapple drink served with orchid flower, umbrella and drink was in a actual pineapple. It was very good but could have benefited by a little more alcohol. Service was spot on.“
