“10/10! The Berkwood St Louis Sticky Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavorful that we found ourselves talking about them for days. The Hamachi Carpaccio was another standout, with the ponzu sauce and kefir lime oil perfectly complementing the yellowtail. We also enjoyed the Garlic Togarashi Edamame and Shrimp Tempura. I loved the Bee My Honey cocktail—it had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. My fiancé ordered the Kabooki Old Fashioned and liked the mix of ginger syrup and cherry bark vanilla bitters.

The restaurant itself has a contemporary vibe, with low lighting and an intimate atmosphere. The service was great, and we’ll definitely be returning.“

“Husband and I were visiting Orlando for the first time and came across Maxine's on Shine. It is such an absolutely incredible charming restaurant! The food was outstanding, with generous and delicious portions, great prices, lots of options and vegan options and drinks but above all -- the hospitality was exceptional! From the greeting from the hostess, discussion with the bartender to the server, busser and owners, they all truly made us feel like a local to the city and appreciative of our business. You really can see the passion from Kirt and Maxine (owners) as it really shines through in every detail in their food, decor and ambiance of the restaurant and you can see that same passion in their staff! My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night and had such a wonderful experience that we simply had to go back on Sunday for the brunch before leaving town. Truly an AMAZING experience and such wonderful people! 100 STARS!!!“

“It was our first time visiting for magical dining. We actually arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation and they seated us immediately. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb! Katrina, our server provided detailed explanations of the menu and gave great recommendations. Even before we entered, Peter, the valet, welcomed us like we were old friends. He recommended Ana’s Cosmo, which was divine. The meal came in “waves” and each wave seemed interchangeable and complemented the previous one. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Christopher, the general manager, was attentive and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return—only next time we will book a room at the Wave Hotel and make it a proper staycation.“

“If my wife didn't hold me back I would of got another burger before leaving. They hit every point that you want out of a smash burger. The meat it self was just flavor then they add there home made sauce to it! Fries seasoned and the one who took our order was super kind. Worth it!!!“

And the star of the show besides the great cooks was Pen! She was so awesome and sensor from her greeting at the door to her interactions with my two daughters. “We’ve dined at both Kabooki locations, and they’re equally incredible! This place has everything you want in a night out—a stylish, lounge-like vibe; creative, delicious cocktails; mind-blowing food; and friendly, attentive staff. The oysters are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had; the moriawase sashimi and nigiri are unbelievably fresh and a flavor journey we didn’t think could be topped…until the ghost roll arrived and blew us away. Each bite was divine—this is a stop-and-savor experience. Every 5-star review is well-deserved. Kabooki is consistently outstanding and our top choice for sushi, without question.“

“Even on a busy Friday night, our server (Deysi) was extremely attentive. We were there for my daughter‘s birthday and they brought her candy with balloons attached to it a special dessert and sung to her. Not very many places make a fuss about birthdays anymore, and it was so sweet that they did.

The food was very tasty and the price is were decent as well. Portion sizes were perfect. Really love the ambience as well. They have a big TV for watching sports on the opposite side as the dining area but it’s hard to get seats to that when it’s super busy. We could sort of see it from where we were seated, but we weren’t there to watch the game anyway!“

“We already love Shin Jung, but, sadly, we aren’t there as often as I’d like. The food is fantastic, atmosphere is casual but comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. I had the Dolsot Bibimbab served in a steaming, sizzling hot pot—beef, mushrooms, sprouts, cucumbers and shredded g carrots and radish. It was delicious on its own but adding the table sauces made it sing. Along with entrees comes a variety of Korean sides as is typical for this cuisine. It included, fish cakes, potato salad, paper thin sliced pickled radish and three Kimchi preparations—classic cabbage, as well as cubes of cucumber and radish. If the food wasn’t enough, our server, Julianna, made our lunch all the more pleasurable with her sweet demeanor and friendly nature. And it wasn’t just us. We watched how she served other diners with the same affable, yet professional treatment. Remember when I said we don’t get there very often? Well, when we walked in, Julianna (without knowing us at all) greeted us like we were regulars coming in for the hundredth time. “I have no idea what the people who rated this establishment lower are talking about. The service, food, atmosphere and general ambiance were exceptional. After dining in some of the higher end resort hotels in Disney this Universal treat beats them hands down. Even with the construction maze one has to navigate that may detract a bit one must remember it is not the fault of the restaurant and they more than make up for this slight inconvenience by their service.“

“Went here several times with and without our dog. Came here recently during hurricane Milton and had to bring our dog and this place sat us with no questions unlike other places in the area. Our dog is small and quiet and while other places in the hotel wouldn't allow us in Jake's did. I understand laws but but at times like these there are exceptions. Food and service was better than other places. Thanks Jake's staff! And great job Sunshine!“

“Needed vegan food at Universal. In a Harry Potter vibe. Of course we went to the Leaky Cauldron. The Shepherd's Pie was very tasty although a little salty and probably not very healthy. It did the trick. The curry on the other hand was very lame - practically no flavor. The vegan meat inside didn't have great texture. Would not get it again - we should have just gotten two Shepherd's Pies! Overall just happy they had vegan options. Thanks!“
