“I am back after a few years. The food is still delicious, 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Our server, Kimo, 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
He is full of energy, explained the dishes, gave us suggestions and was very attentive.
My favorite from his suggestions, Maguro Truffle, Sticky Ribs, Hawaii XO Roll and the Double Tekka Roll. For dessert we had the Ube Cheese Cake. Sweet, smooth, perfect to share with two. Yes! I would order it all again.
The ambiance, 4 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
The decor is cheeky/romantic with dim lights. But noise level was pretty high. It’s ok if you are sitting right next to each other. I can hear larger parties speaking louder to be able to carry a conversation.
Restroom situation, 2 ⭐️ ⭐️
There is 1 bathroom for females and 1 bathroom for males. I didn’t really noticed it until the line came out of the bathroom area and people were standing near our table. When I needed to use it, wow, I was next in line but it took forever. Something to consider upgrading or maybe make them unisex so both stalls can be used.
The restaurant added a lounge next door. It has its own door or you can access through the restaurant. It also has its own cocktail menu that you can order from while dining.
These are suggestions for improvement but not important enough to stop me from coming back.“

“We’ve had a great time multiple trips at Cabana Bay. We’ve always been greeted by friendly staff. I really like the retro vibe. It’s close to the Universal parks with a quick bus ride. And not to mention the amenities, hot tub, all the food options, and the lazy river is fantastic! Just wanted to spread some positivity among all the negative comments, there are others that really enjoy this resort. It’s very busy though, just like the parks. “It was our first time visiting for magical dining. We actually arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation and they seated us immediately. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb! Katrina, our server provided detailed explanations of the menu and gave great recommendations. Even before we entered, Peter, the valet, welcomed us like we were old friends. He recommended Ana’s Cosmo, which was divine. The meal came in “waves” and each wave seemed interchangeable and complemented the previous one. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Christopher, the general manager, was attentive and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return—only next time we will book a room at the Wave Hotel and make it a proper staycation.“

“Amazing is the only one word that comes to our minds. The restaurant itself is very modern looking but has that touch of Thai to make us feel at home. And the star of the show besides the great cooks was Pen! She was so awesome and sensor from her greeting at the door to her interactions with my two daughters. “Jackie was our waitress today at Nona Blue. Jackie has waited on us before, because we go to Nona Blue quite often. Is my family‘s favorite restaurant in the area, and has been for many years. Jackie is the best waitress ever. She is not only cute and sweet and fun, but she is a very hard worker. She completely takes care of her people. “Arrived at Halloween Horror Nights and needed a little fuel in the tank to get started and they delivered! They have great soups and salads that will fill the void and are easy and quick eats and taste great. You can eat inside or outside but the seating is limited. This place has everything you want in a night out—a stylish, lounge-like vibe; creative, delicious cocktails; mind-blowing food; and friendly, attentive staff. The oysters are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had; the moriawase sashimi and nigiri are unbelievably fresh and a flavor journey we didn’t think could be topped…until the ghost roll arrived and blew us away. Each bite was divine—this is a stop-and-savor experience. Every 5-star review is well-deserved. Kabooki is consistently outstanding and our top choice for sushi, without question.“

“We were in Florida for several days and I ended up here every day trying something for dinner. There were so many people that made our experience amazing but the person that made the experience extra special was Sanchez. Fantastic recommendations and the drink that he recommended was amazing. (Just ask for the Sanchez) Wonderful food (Diana at the ceviche bar) and atmosphere with the deck (even with the heat) was amazing. I will definitely be returning.“

“Even on a busy Friday night, our server (Deysi) was extremely attentive. We were there for my daughter‘s birthday and they brought her candy with balloons attached to it a special dessert and sung to her. Not very many places make a fuss about birthdays anymore, and it was so sweet that they did.

The food was very tasty and the price is were decent as well. Portion sizes were perfect. Really love the ambience as well. They have a big TV for watching sports on the opposite side as the dining area but it’s hard to get seats to that when it’s super busy. We could sort of see it from where we were seated, but we weren’t there to watch the game anyway!“

“We already love Shin Jung, but, sadly, we aren’t there as often as I’d like. The food is fantastic, atmosphere is casual but comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. I had the Dolsot Bibimbab served in a steaming, sizzling hot pot—beef, mushrooms, sprouts, cucumbers and shredded g carrots and radish. It was delicious on its own but adding the table sauces made it sing. Along with entrees comes a variety of Korean sides as is typical for this cuisine. It included, fish cakes, potato salad, paper thin sliced pickled radish and three Kimchi preparations—classic cabbage, as well as cubes of cucumber and radish. If the food wasn’t enough, our server, Julianna, made our lunch all the more pleasurable with her sweet demeanor and friendly nature. And it wasn’t just us. We watched how she served other diners with the same affable, yet professional treatment. Remember when I said we don’t get there very often? Well, when we walked in, Julianna (without knowing us at all) greeted us like we were regulars coming in for the hundredth time. “I've been lucky to never encounter a long line here during normal leasing m operating hours.

I usually get butter beer, hot and cold, and can easily find a seat in or outside. The staff is awesome and is a great retreat from the heat.“

“I recommend this hotel but not Amatista’s Cookhouse. My family was very disappointed. We ordered a whole rotisserie chicken that cost $50. We expected the chicken to feed three people. We were shocked to see the size of the chicken that was brought to our table as it was extremely small. Not only was the chicken tough to break apart to put on our plates, but it was also hollow in the middle, lacking meat. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for charging $50 for what they call a whole rotisserie chicken when it didn’t appear to even be half of a rotisserie chicken. Also, we never received bread and butter at all, during our dining experience, which I believe was included with our meals. To say we are disappointed is an understatement however, we will never be dining at this restaurant again.“

“I have no idea what the people who rated this establishment lower are talking about. The service, food, atmosphere and general ambiance were exceptional. After dining in some of the higher end resort hotels in Disney this Universal treat beats them hands down. Even with the construction maze one has to navigate that may detract a bit one must remember it is not the fault of the restaurant and they more than make up for this slight inconvenience by their service.“
