“My boyfriend and I went for his 22nd birthday, this place is truly a hidden gem! They were so accommodating with our nut allergies and my spice sensitivity! The food was so flavorful and filling. We will DEFINITELY be back! All of the employees were very friendly and helpful“

“We came here because of the positive celiac safe ratings and we’re not disappointed! The outside is very deceiving because it is small and not fancy but inside is quaint and minimalist but cute. They serve only bowls but the options are extensive. They are very well versed in food allergies and sensitivities, which was a relief as we have a family member with celiac disease and unable to eat dairy and soy as well. The cashier checked with the chef several times to ensure the ingredients met their restrictions and assured us that all precautions would be used to avoid cross contamination (separate prep area, glove change, etc). The portions were huge and they were delicious! The Korean fried chicken was good but very sweet, so be aware of that. The beef was so good! Cooked perfectly and very flavorful! Beware that parking is very challenging as they share a tiny lot with a cross fit and other businesses. We got lucky to get the only handicapped spot for my mom otherwise there was no parking. Definitely recommend to come here and we’ll be back to try more options!“

“Have eaten here many times and am always very happy with the experience. One of my favorite places to bring friends.

With the Handroll format, it’s hard to cover up poor quality fish, as there are no filler ingredients such as cream cheese, avocado etc. to cover things up. While I love those ingredients, they don’t let the fish shine. The handroll format, much like nigiri and sashimi, truly honors the fish you are eating. Each roll is so fresh, with crispy nori and delicately prepared quality fish. I generally don’t care for nori, but at Mosonori, I LOVE it. The freshness really does matter. The flavors in each roll are perfectly balanced, in my opinion most don’t even need any additional soy sauce.

I’ve eaten at quite a few other handroll spots across the country that are doing the same kind of dining experience, and none have come even close to Mosonori.

The handroll sets offer great value for impressive, quality fish at reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

The vibe is calm and quiet, so it is probably best to be a smaller party looking for a relaxed evening. However, it is still suitable for both a quick chill lunch, or a nice dinner out with your partner and/or friends. I have shown up in a baseball cap+ shorts and tee, but also in dress attire, and have never felt out of place.“

“I really love this restaurant and I’m a regular customer. The food is very authentic, delicious, and the menu has a great variety of options. The ladies who work here are always exceptional—very friendly and attentive.

The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. I especially love coming here for a good plate of mole or some delicious street tacos. 🌮

It can get pretty busy on weekends and in the evenings, but that’s a good sign! Definitely one of my favorite places when I’m craving authentic Mexican food.“

“My friend and I are visiting from Miami and this was the only spot around that didn’t close by 10pm. We tried 2 other places before this one but they were super dead. Even though it was already pretty late, this place actually had some life to it. Good vibes all around. The bartender Jose is literally an angel. He was so sweet and friendly, never once forgot my name (love that), and his customer service was on point. Some random dude started bothering my friend and I, and Jose immediately came over to make sure we were okay. He even kept an eye on our drinks when we went to the bathroom. First time ever meeting him and he made us feel so safe and taken care of. The place was clean, chill, and just a good vibe overall… but honestly we’re going back just for Jose!! We love you!“

He also went the extra mile to make us feel extra special with the special cocktails... Our Server Andrew continued with the special service by welcoming us in and his suggestions for dinner were so delicious 😋... Andrew even added some extra touches with special sauce suggestions to add to our dining experience... Max was also extra attentive by taking our picture by the cutest spot under the tree and checking to ensure we had enough bread and tasty butters on hand... Been to many restaurants in Chicago but I must admit not one has gone the extra mile as did the manager and staff at Winter Park.... Bravo to you all!!“

The halloumi egg croissant was a disappointment as it was a totally raw uncooked egg and block of cheese inside. Inedible. “today's date is September 24th 2026. I'll start with that. Just so you know that this is up to date... we placed an order for take out of three combo dinner meals, two of them being the bourbon chicken with lo mein and one of them being the sesame chicken with lo mein. It also came with an egg roll. The size of the egg roll is abnormally large, the biggest one I've seen in my life no lie, and it was delicious too! As far as the food, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The amount of food we received was unreal. The three meals in a bag probably weigh 20 pounds, I'm joking, but you get my point. After eating enough to be extremely full, I look back in the container of each of the three meals, and there's enough food for a whole other meal. The food is delicious and WE will definitely be back!! If you're looking to spend around $15 for a combo dinner and it's enough to share with two or even three people be sure to stop by this place.
