“This is one of my go to spots! I always bring friends when they’re visiting from out of town. Our most recent visit, Sky was our waitress and she was fabulous! Attentive service and the most delicious food as always. I love getting a bakery treat to go and enjoy breakfast there!“

“I have only ever consumed the coffee from this establishment, and it is of exceptional quality. Although it is slightly more expensive than Starbucks, the quality is superior. However, I do not appreciate the culture of tipping. Employers should pay their employees a fair wage so that they are not reliant on customers to supplement their income.“

“I had a wonderful recent experience at New General! I felt very welcome from the moment I walked in, the staff and service were absolutely fantastic. I had a Golden Latte and the Chickpea Buddha Bowl with Tofu. The Latte was great and I did feel it helped soothe my stomach! The Buddha Bowl was decent but I felt it could use a bit more flavor. I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the cafe, it was truly an Aesthetically Pleasing setting! It was also impeccably clean. Thank you for the great visit!“

“Small, quaint bakery/cafe just off Park street. Simple cozy decor with Sinatra era type music playing in the background. Limited indoor seating, but several outdoor sidewalk tables. Nice, friendly service. The food was good but I thought a bit pricey. I had the moulin rouge - smoked salmon, mushroom, spinach, Swiss cheese crepe. I thought it good, but tough at ~$17. I also had a large latte. It too was good, but just a tad bitter. The best was the Apple strudel. Very tasty flaky croissant with apple, currant, and nut filling.“

“Five starts really for food, service, and atmosphere..... I just had to knock down one star because we like to pay cash... and that is not an option at this location.

My daughters, their friend and I decided to hit the hot Florida pavement with a bike ride and run with grand plans to end with a scoop of ice cold ice-cream!

Upon arrival I cannot tell you how my daughter's hot red melting faces first lit up with excitement and then quickly dropped when we realized you all do not accept cash at that location.  Believe it or not, we are a cash pay family and only own one credit card which often doesn't leave the home.  We were hot, sad and didn't know what to do.

The employee at the shop, Riley, quickly turned things around with her calm gentle smile.  She helped me solve our woes by finding a way to download an app, call a friend for a credit card etc.... while simultaneously distracting my girls with a sample and patience in picking out the sample.  And she figuratively "threw the cherry on top" when she announced that they carry GLUTEN FREE CONES! My daughter rarely gets to partake in the cones when we are out because of her allergy - but not today. There is no way we would have been able to quench our expected reward with ice cream today if it wasn't for Riley - our exciting trip ended in wonder rather than sorrow.  She is a gem of an employee in every way.  From kindness, respect, patience and joy, not to mention a great role model for my daughters.  She surely deserves a raise and praise.  I can imagine facing people with the same problem on a regular basis, it could become tiring to be the bearer of bad news - but not for Riley. Please bring back cash.... and definitely keep Riley at the shop!

“Breakfast at First Watch was such a treat today. My delicious blueberry pancake was HUGE, light and fluffy and filled with blueberries. I had the trifecta with eggs and bacon done just the way I like it. My friend had the trifecta as well but with the waffle which was pronounced as “ incredible “! The food was excellent and our server, Ms. CeCe was outstanding! This young lady is so perky she made us feel perky from all her positive energy. She was efficient and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. Top notch customer service! Their menu had so many goodies to choose so we will definitely have to go back soon!“
