“Don't be fooled by the location...this place has the best Cuban food in Southern Florida! The chef/owner really knows her flavoring, and was so friendly and helpful. We traveled more than 2 hours to get to this spot for lunch, and it was worth it. I'd make that drive any day!“

“We had an amazing dining experience at Cuba 1958 in Sarasota! There were four of us, and we enjoyed every single dish we ordered — from the appetizers to the main courses, everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was both beautiful and welcoming. This place is a gem! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful meal and a great vibe. A must-visit!“

“We just happened upon El Ceviche and with knowledge that ceviche was invented in Peru and I hadn't had it in a long time, we ventured in with no recommendation from anyone. What a find! Best shrimp ceviche ever! My husband ordered a beef dish, Lomo Saltado and said it was delicious. Peruvian corn was a real treat. This is on my Best Of list! Go. Eat. Enjoy.“

“What a fun place! Great ambiance—super casual, dive-bar feel. We both ordered the burger, fries, coleslaw. The burgers were excellent. Fries were incredible too—def not on the healthier side, but they’re fries so that’s on brand. Coleslaw was yummy too—kind of sweet instead of vinegary. My husband said it was the best burger he’s had in SRQ! Competitive prices. Oh, and we loved the live music!! Happy to support artists whenever i can :) i was worried it would be too loud but the volume was just right. We couldn’t talk or hear each other, but that was fine since we were shoving food in our faces anyway ;). Will absolutely come back for the Cuban! Love all the made-fresh daily options too.
FYI: no dogs allowed in the restaurant/bar/seating (service animals only). I mention this because a lot of restaurants in this area are super lenient when it comes to people bringing their fur kids…but i believe the outdoor seating would be an option if you can’t dine without Fido :)“

“Great place but the food was spicy and too much cumin. Traditional Cuban food is not spicy at all! I was a little disappointed in the Ropa Vieja and especially Picadillo. Spicy for sure and too much cumin! Service and ambience was excellent.“

“We’ve been getting our Cuban coffee, empanadas and Cuban sandwiches. Do not miss an opportunity to meet this delightful family! Charleen treats you as though you are a guest in her kitchen. A unique and incredible experience. Great sandwiches to grab at Osprey Marina if you are going boating in your own vessel or hire a charter! No hurricane damage…she’s open for business!“
